If you dont get AIO's, I take it that you have to buy the inserts to go in the pockets?

Yep you do, check out TM as they have inserts on there for sale just seperate and they are really good. I got some plain microfibre ones from there.

Thanks Becks....

Just debating which way to go, did a rough estimate of disposables & DH said yeah maybe we go for MCN's. I am using flats & Down Undies covers at the mo as I had them from Alia.

I guess Pockets would be better for Night naps?

Yeah Pockets are better for night, you can change to suit.

Yes, pocket nappies require inserts but there are other MCN options, such as fitted nappies or prefolds with covers. Lucky we have so many options!!

Pockets are good for nights but if you have a really heavy wetter you might find you need a heavy-duty fitted nappy at night. We used pockets overnight til my son was 18mths and then had to switch to a fitted - we loved Designer Bums hemp fitted nappies with their merino covers, or wool longies overtop. Never a leak!
