I have just go home from a really lovely evening at the chinese Lantern festival in Albert park in Auckland City, lots of people, nice atmosphere and ever so nice when it got dark and there were displays of lit up lanterns,
Did anyone else go?

How busy is it this year? Last two years it was so packed it started to feel a bit unsafe - like you couldn't see where the footpath ended because you couldn't see your feet.

But yes it is lovely and definitely worth a look if you've never been - but don't take your car

We went last night, it was heaving, but not too bad really. We took the Mountain Buggy,  but Oli ended up on Daddys shoulders and I used the buggy to part the crowd!! The lanterns were amazing, but the food stalls were crazy busy and not nearly as impressive as Dilwali!
