another boy - that will make three in the house. I was secretly holding out for a girl, but oh well - I'll up the contents insurance and let them have their boy-like way with the indoor soccer pitch hallway and climbing bookcases etc.
The scan was good - the baby (Samuel Logan Nicholas) is big for his gestation just like his big brother was so I'm planning the epidural now and will talk to my doctor about not letting me go over due date. Fingers, toes etc in place; she couldn't check for a cleft lip because he had his hands in the way. Hubby and big brother number one are stoked. I went out and bought more make-up and girly things for myself to let it all settle in.

Woops - that actually makes three boys plus hubby - so really four to one - I'm completely outnumbered! I'm not sure if I'm up for another one after this - we'll have to see how far the motivation to try for a girl goes.
Thanks everyone

congrats on another wee boy. they will be great friends.
do you have clefts in the family?

Posted By: emeldee
Date Posted: 12 May 2006 at 5:19pm
No clefts in the family so I am not too worried. Due to Andrew's size and position when I was pregnant with him I ended up having extra scans later on, so I'm guessing it will be the same with this little fella and they can look again then.

oh cool, I didnt realise they routinely scan for clefts, wonder why they didnt pick up Kobes then

I think it is all just part of the anatomy scan at 20 weeks - and they only look at things closely if the baby isn't hiding them.
