Warning w winge coming on. So I have decided it is a chocolate stay in p.j's kinda day my house work is up to date the weather is crap so I have decided to do nothing except for things for Alan. Here is the winge part we have been living in our new house now for 3 weeks and loving except one thing hubby would rather spend time with his bro then me. So I told him the other night I was feeling a bit lonely and wanted to spend a little more time with him. Anyway you would think the next night he might at least try, but no did the samething left me sitting in the lounge by myself watching tv. So I suggested that we set one night a week aside to spend together well his comment was it "that sounds boreing" I love my hubby and he is an awsome Dad helps with Alan ect ,but WHAT ABOUT ME!!!! Oh Deb...we all had those moments....I tell you what its worse when you are pregnant and your hormones are all over the place. And Men will be Men!! Unfortunately!
I think perhaps have another talk with him and explain how you feel and that you feel lonely and horrible and all this negative energy is being passed on to the baby ...so he should try and make you feel better.

Hang in there Deb... sometimes men don't understand how much it affects us not to have quality time with them. As they see it they are there with us at mealtimes and in bed, so they don't always see that we need one-on-one adult time after the kids are in bed to reconnect as a couple. ------------- Becca, mum of 2 girls & 3 boys |

Have you ever read the Love Languages book? It is awesome and a great way to learn to communicate! (especially for men who sometimes just don't get it!)
When Hubby and I were always busy (before the days of flaking out on the couch at 6.30pm) we used to set aside one night of the week as "date night". It was awesome to have time for just us! ------------- http://lilypie.com">

We blob on the couch most nights... but we still do a "date nite" most weeks. Friday night for us is our night, where we watch a movie, play cards or another game or something like that. I will get whatever snack food or special dessert we want for the evening during the day, and as soon as the kids are in bed it becomes "date nite"! ------------- Becca, mum of 2 girls & 3 boys |

i give up the amount of times we've planned to have date night once a month! it just never happens
yet it's ok for dean to go out drinking with his mate on sat nites!

| funny you should bring up this post today, hubby and I have been having one of those quiet, serious talks about our marriage today which is worse than a screaming match. He was planning on going away on what I thought was a boys fishing trip but turns out to be an anyone and everyone trip except me the wife of course. I was not keen on a drunken night away from his big fat celebit whale of a wife with a heap of drunk skinny young females and drunk single males! Of course the pregnancy hormones didnt help my reaction. |

Paws I have not read the book, but herd heaps about it can't inagine hubby reading tho he hates that sort of thing. Plus I already know mine is deffently quality time. As far as blobbong on the couch I wish I would be happy with that as much as anything he ususally is on his computer which mean's we are not even in the same room. Becca I locve your date night idea so I did put it to hubby and he has agreed as long as I come up with something dor us to do he is not into games and we tend not to like the same movie's so if anyone has any suggestion's please let me know. my2angles I would be deffently have ign a serious chats too that is one thing i would not stand for in saying that my hubby has no social life and would buch rather sit at his computer by himself. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

We do date nites too although it only happens every couple of months, we'll go 2 the movies etc. Last time it was sooo cute, Manny brought me wine & flowers so it'd be like a "proper" date *Aaaww*.

We usually watch a dvd or something like that, or play cards, or a game of some sort. We don't normally go out either (same reason - no babysitter) but we do get something special to eat... chips, dessert, something snacky like that, and some drink.
Sometimes we'll have a special dinner after the kids are in bed... they get noodles or spaghetti on toast, then we have chicken cordon blu or something a little more special like that. ------------- Becca, mum of 2 girls & 3 boys |

| if you have a big enough bath then you could run an extension cord and put the tv into the bathroom, run a nice bubble bath and some nibbles, maybe if you want it to be romatic you could light some candles and watch a movie or listen to the radio. its so relaxing and nice time out time where you dont even need to talk, doesnt need to be a double bath either cos you can fit two snuggly into a normal bath. we dont have bath at this house which Im actually really missing |
