-Critter cupcakes - there are some great pictures in the front of the Women's Weekly birthday cake book, there are Creepy Caterpillars, Crawly Spiders, Butterflies, Dragonflies, Buzzy Bees, Bumblebees, Redback Spiders, Mice... definitely worth checking out.
Also the following, adapted from www.littlies.co.nz's http://www.littlies.co.nz/page.asp?id=766&level=3 - party pages : -Jelly bugs – cut the jelly into circles once set using biscuit cutters, use licorice for legs and pebbles or chocolate drops/buttons for spots -Strawberry ice-cream ladybirds – scoop of ice-cream shaped into a ball, decorated with chocolate dots, and licorice for legs and antennae -Make fruit bugs using strawberries, tiny tomatoes, plums and peaches -Flower shaped sandwiches -"Bug juice" served from a jug with cardboard dots stuck on the outside ETA link -------------
