We have a brought a Touchwood cot that is about 9yrs old. It is solid rimu but is slightly faded and needs a re-oil. Touchwood have sold out of the oil they use and suggest I use a non-toxic danish oil but i can't find any! Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

That danish oil is LOVELY!  Try emailing the people at http://www.woodentoysnz.co.nz - www.woodentoysnz.co.nz   I know that they use the oil and they may be able to direct you to a good source.

Linseed oil or beeswax are both safe options, the beeswax would be the better of the two but will need a bit of elbow grease to work it in.
