Hi- over the past 2days but i really noticed it yesterday that my right breast is sore...aching...baby has oral thrush and shes taking the drops and ive got the cream for my nipples. on saturday night baby was FF and i expressed twice through the night and woke up with very very full breasts...but since then baby has only been BF and i woke up yesterday morning with a very sore right breast esp under the breast. i dont see any lumps or red patches though but could it be mastitis?or something to do with the thrush? -and if i just keep BF ing her hopefully it will stop aching?any help would be appreciated.........

I had alot of breast pain (still do actually) but especially back at the 2month mark.
You say that you are dealing with thrush so it could be to do with that. Might pay to get it checked at the dr.
Sorry really no help but didn't want to just read and run.

Keep BFing & see if you can massage the spot when she's on that boob. Haven't dealt with thrush so don't know about that but it could be the start of mastitis? Mine started under the boob as well. But if in doubt contact the Dr

One thing you can do is dose up on Vitamin C, Ester C is the best as its the strongest, I have been taking it everyday since bub was born and I got sore breasts when I stopped taking it so I started it up again, most MW's seem to suggest it if you think you are getting Mastitis.
When my left breast was really sore I realised that its the side I hold Heidi on all the time and she likes to squeeze my b@@b between her knees while I hold her so I started holding her differently and this seem to help too???
Hope it goes away soon!!

Sounds like you may have a blocked milk duct, the best way to clear it is to keep feeding baby and if it under the breast try feeding baby lying down as its best to get babys chin in the area of the blockage. If it is a blocked duct it will probably take a couple of days to clear.
They are really uncomfortable though I had them every couple of weeks to start with not nice.
