I'm looking at sewing some merino tops for my daughter and can't find a pattern anywhere!

I'm after a pattern for an envelope-neck T-shirt (or envelope-neck anything that I can adapt to suit).

You know the style that is most common with baby clothes these days.

I'm almost ready to unpick one of her existing garments to draw up a pattern from :(

Can anyone help?

Hi ya,
Im sure when i was looking at simplicty pattern book at spotlight the other week there was a pattern for a newborn set that had envelope necks, pretty sure it was a simplicty one.

Can I ask where you got the merino fabric from? I have looked in Auckland and havent found any yet, wondering if its too hot up here still

Global Fabrics on Newton gully in Auckland has LOADS of gorgeous merino - heaps of different colours. I bought a whole bunch the other day to make wraps with...

Butterick B5896 does and it's a handy pattern to have - hat, nappy cover, overalls, short and long sleeved tees, jacket, dress and onesie... not that I've actually managed to make anything from it yet
