We were at the mall the other day and this lady came up to me and said that I have really beautiful children.

I nearly had tears in my eyes as she really touched my heart.

It's amazing how much joy your kids bring to you.

Awww...

An old lady walked past us in a carpark once and smiled at the kids.
Janaya turned to me and said:
"Muummmmm, you know, you can always tell who the Nana's are. They are the people that smile at all the children...... and at the Gardens."

Obviously not the same as someone coming up to us and saying something nice, but I got a Big Warm Fuzzy when she said it, because it is so true.

Aww that's lovely Lisha (and I have to agree, your girls are beautiful!)

Kaiz Now that is a quote that should be going in one of those Grandparents books. That is so beautiful, and so so true! Makes me want to cry!! Isn't it amazing how kids have such an awesome and honest way of putting things.

Reminds me of a story I was told the other day... My friends run a respite home for special needs kids, mostly autistic. One of the girls, who doesn't really talk much and you don't really know how much she understands, announced when arriving at the house "I've had enough day". Don't we all know how that feels, and isn't it a great way of putting it!!

Aint it lovely when people compliment you on your child/ren. Kahtrell had the pizza sampler lady at the supermarket following us down the meat fridges talking away there and giving him lots of pizza lolz....she said he was such a beautiful boy with a great nature. Also the other day my Cousin in law told me what a wonderful mother I was and the special bond Kahtrell and I share, she hopes she will have with her (soon to be adopted) son.

Oh, I things like that!

We once had a sweet little Japanese lady come up to us in the supermarket. I was putting some tomatoes in a bag while she chatted to Hannah. She kissed her forehead and said something in Japanese.
She then told me she'd told Hannah that she was beautiful and that she is going to have a wonderful life!

Ooooh, I remember when I was pregnant with Jackson, and I went to put some petrol in the car when the owner stopped me.
I went in to pay and just as I was leaving he grabbed my hand, squeezed it really tightly then looked me straight in the eye and said "I wish you all the best for the birth"".
I got shivers all over my body, and I convinced myself that something awful was going to happen during his birth and that the man was a psychic!
I just thought it was so strange coming from a greased up old man.

Awww That is so sweet.
As is what Janaya said too.

I had a lady come up to me at a cafe in Queensgate a few weeks ago who said "You're a wonderful mother"
This was after they observed me dealing with 2 restless babies in highchairs and trying to enjoy a coffee at the same time

So much nicer to hear "Oohh you've got your hands full there"

That's so lovely!
I once had an elderly lady come up to me in the supermarket, pat my hand and tell me how nice it was to see a mother taking so much enjoyment in her children and that she thought I was doing a good job. It is so gratifying because it is wonderful being with them, you do your best and if a stranger can see it then you must be doing something right.

Caitlyn watched Titanic for the first time the other day , and when it got to the part with the mother reading to her two children she turns to me and says

"Is she reading to them because they are going to die and she wants them to be asleep ?"
and I nodded , and said "yes, its very sad isn't it ?"
then she paused for a moment and looked deep in thought , then she said

" yes, but at least they are going to die together, with the people they love the most "

My warm fuzzy is that my daughter, at not even 7 , has a beautiful enough spirit to already come up with things like that , and that I get to see things through her eyes .
Thats pretty lucky .

I also have warm fuzzies from seeing all the friends that came to celebrate my hen's night with me , that was cool
