Hi all

It's my grandmothers birthday next month, and this year we got quite a scare with her health where she was in hospital for awhile.

Made me realise how special she is to me, and made me want to something special for her birthday so I hunted through some old photos and found a couple of us together when I was little.

I wanted to incorporate these pictures (copies) into maybe a card that's scrapbook type style but I have no idea where to start and I don't think we have a scrapbooking shop here anymore, does Spotlight have stuff that I'd need?

Any ideas of what I could do in regards to the scrapbook card or any good sites that have supplies that I could go to?

Anyone got pictures for inspiration?

BTW, did I mention I'm not creative at all! lol

Thanks heaps!

if you want you could do something on the likes of http://www.snapfish.co.nz - snapfish - you can do little books or you can do a collage - all you would have to do is scan the photos in if you don't have them in digital already

How about a living frame? have a look at http://www.creativememories.co.nz/MainMenu/Our-products-and-services/Home-D%c3%a9cor/Everyday-Display

spotlight should sell the frames too. (would posibly be cheaper) That way she can always have it up and they are not too difficult to do just a case of placing your photos on a background and embelishing it. You can also put in a written note with a special story or moment.

kiwigal I'm so there! Not creative at all, but I am scrapbooking for Hollie, and have very little inspiration. Although when I go looking for it I get disheartened because all the pages are better then mine

Oh yeah the point of the above post...check out www.scrapblog.com, then load it on to digitalmax or frogprints etc, and get them to make it into a card =)

Are you able to scan the pictures?

Because if you could, you could go to Harvey Normal or somewhere and use their photo machines - they have ready to go scrapbook themes and you just add your photos and print and its done!

Deends how much time you have, I scrapbooked a small album for my niece and it seemed to take ages. If you don't have much time then something like Snapfish would be great, I have done a photobook with them and it's great.

There are heaps of websites out there so just try googling.

If you have time or want to continue then see if there are any Community Education classes running. My Mum does one at our local school.

Spotlight and the Warehouse ot Warehouse Stationery usually have the 'gear'. There was a scrapbook shop near the bottom of Queen St in Richmond (next to the Video Ezy I think) but when we were there in October I noticed it had closed, not sure if they have moved or not.
