Thisis the first baby for me in ages - 6 years! - and I sat on the floor in the shop the other day and got so confused. What bottle type do you recommend? Avent? Tommee Tippee?

I probably won't bf fully if I'm going by past history so I really want to know what everyone thinks.

I found the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature the best, the teat seems to be softer and much more like the real thing

I recommend Nuk. You can buy them from The Baby Factory.

Hi we use Avent and I brought the kit as well which you can pop into the microwave for sterilising the bottles.

I've been using the tommy tippie ones and they seem to be fine. Just annoys me that most brands seem to mark them in 30ml breaks but formula is in 50ml lots. Hard to make out at 3am LOL!!!

Hi.
Like caitlynsmygirl, I have always found Avent good. I used them on my DD who is now 9yrs, and have them for my DS who is 3 months - hows that for an age gap!!.

We have been using the TT closer to nature range as I was planning on BFing for longer and they are meant to make the transition easier. Have used them since she was a couple of weeks old and she takes them fine

Our babies are fussy and like completely different bottles. Dom likes the NUK teat and Isobelle will only take the Tommee Tippee ones or the Adiri ones. maybe just buy one and wait and see if your baby will take it.

Avent all the way here - DS took them from 3 days old. Good for the anti-colic function and good resale later on too. Also I like that they go up in 10ml lots not random lots (like someone mentioned above). If you do buy them, don't buy many of the stupid 125ml bottles as you only use them for a few weeks, go straight to the 260ml ones, that's all we ever needed.

thanks guys for allt he advice - it will probably be the comment about measuring that sells me to a brand! But then I also like the comments about TT and being able to transition between bottle and boob.
And yes, I remember that the small bottles got put away for months, until I wanted to use them for juice. What a waste of money those were!
