Today Ayja took us by surprise, we had been trying to get her to push along little trolleys etc with wheels on them but all went too fast and she never moves her feet so just ends up with a face full of floor, she never walks when you hold her hands and stand her up.

So imagine our surprise when this morning she decided that her sister's doll's highchair was perfect for the job. she stood up, started pushing it and pushed it all around the room for ages, and has done so this evening again.

I actually think it's just right cos it doesn't go anywhere unless she pushes it, and she has been taking careful steps and getting her balance instead of just kinding running before she can walk so to speak, but hopefully this means she will be off walking soon because she is getting faster and faster even today. It makes me glad that mum and my sister have bought her a kewl walker/ride-on thingie for her birthday - just in time i say! but won't it be funny if she ditches that in favour of the highchair

Well done Ayja. Kobe was the same, we got him a walker thing but he loved pushing around an activity arch, I think because it didnt move unless he walked and he would go up and down all day
