I had really bad itching for the last few months of pregnancy too and my mw suggested http://www.healthchemist.co.nz/malcolm-harker-skin/malcolm-harker-skin-soothe-130ml-p901764.html - Malcolm Harker Skin Soothe . She'd had another woman who found it very helpful with her itch. It soothed it temporarily but the itch did keep coming back. Any relief was wonderful though, even enough just to let you get to sleep.
I had regular blood tests and a few bile salt tests done because it can be a sign of chloestasis if I remember right. Your ob will check for this I'm sure. I think an itch is just one of those things that some women get unfortunately. I hope you can find some relief.

Oh you poor thing I know exactly what you are going through, I had it really bad in the last few weeks of my pregnancy, I stratched my skin to the point of bleeding it was that bad.
I ended up using Aveno Shower Oil for dry itchy skin and my DH brought me Palmers body oil its in a spray bottle and the oil is yellow. That seemed to work the best. Use the oil morning and night and it does help enough so you dont go crazy.
It didnt stop till after Arianne was born and there isnt much itchy cream the doctor can perscribe

The Aveeno shower oil is the best I had a terrible rash in pregnancy and this plus the Aveeno moisturiser were the only things that helped.

Oh I feel your pain I had that first time round.
Another thing you can take is an antihistimene (Polaramine is the only one you can take I think) which should relieve the itching a wee bit. That's what I take anyway.
