Hello.
Over the last week or so I have found that I am incredibly tired at about 1 - 1:30 in the afternoon and would happily lie down and have a snooze if I could!
Mornings I seem fine and evenings I am fine but boy these afternoons are terrible!!
What can I do do give myself a zing or burst of energy!!! I cant fall asleep at work!

I've been getting super tired in the afternoons too. There have been a few times over the past month or so I would be more than happy to crawl under my desk for a nap, sadly I think the guys I work with might notice! lol

I felt like I LIVED on barley sugars the last few weeks of my pregnancy with Kiya when I was working 16 hour days... they were really good to have in my bag to just grab when I needed an energy boost.

I'm soooo sleepy. Hubby has started sleep humming (not snoring and not really sleep talking, for the past two months he has been waking me up with his humming!). I've told him that he is sleeping on the couch tonight though!!!!

have you tried having a smoothie or milkshake around the time when you are feeling sleepy? it may help to lift your energy levels without being a sugar boost.

Having the heater on and a nice cozy warm house over the past few mights has put me to sleep on the couch in front of the TV....

I started taking iron tables just yesterday so I hope that helps. I left work at 3.30 as I could barely keep my eyes open (probably shouldn't have driven )
I'm going to try to have a nap now as we have antenatal tonight
Sweet dreams *ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz*

Yeah I flat out refuse to drive in the evenings, I always get hubby. I'm too worried about driving when I feel so sleepy!

How strange... the first time I typed this is just didn't appear on the forum - hmmmm. Anyway, I just said:
Got anywhere where you could nana-nap in your lunch-break? That might ease the afternoon crashing a bit.

I guess I could go sit in my car, but I feel too self conscious all out in the open like that - and besides, I might not (want) to wake up

yeah I don't really have anywhere to go nap and sleeping in my car in uniform wouldn't be too comfy. Oh well. Soldiering on!

At one of my old jobs I would pop out for a power nap during my lunch break, but wouldn't do that now !
