Just wondering - I have been off work for maternity leave for almost 6 months and going back to work shortly for the same employer - if I get pregnant again within the year and left for maternity leave are we entitled to the maternity leave payment?

Yup. But if only if you are back at work for at least 6 months. You would meet the requirements for entitlement to special leave (for the mw/doctors visits etc), 14 weeks maternity leave and the statutory parental leave payment. You are not entitled to the unpaid extended leave (up to 52 weeks) if you work for less than 12 months before the next period of maternity leave.

There's a calendar to work out your entitlement http://ers.govt.nz/parentalleave/calculate/BME.asp - here - it does take into account previous PPL
