So this morning started out OK, I was just a bit fuzzy, and had a coffee to get me going. The daycare visit was fine, I even enjoyed it, but it was once I got to Glenfield mall to go to the Warehouse that things started going downhill.
I think it started when I went into T&T and started to feel the "urge" come on - there were just SO many cute clothes that weren't really *that* expensive, but I knew that if I left I would have to leave empty handed, or I'd end up spending mega $$$$ on stuff I don't really "need" - and so the frustration began.
I went into the Warehouse which was OK, found the Tigger hang-up thingy I wanted, and a musical mobile on top of that which wasn't expensive... and thought 'Hey, I could check out curtains for the nursery while I'm here', since DH and I were discussing them last night. Found some in a design I liked, and even found the right size for the windows in that room, but they were $100 !!!!!!!!! Gave up and paid for my other things... then went into this other shop and they had all sorts of gorgeous looking teddy bears, but NO price tags. I must have picked up at least half a dozen, and nothing. So I would have been 'deviating' from the plan if I'd bought one or two (if the price was reasonable), but I thought to myself "if they can't merchandise things properly and put price tags on it then they aren't getting my money !!!".
Looked at my watch and realised it was lunchtime, and figured I'd have something quickly - the foodcourt wasn't that crowded and found an OK table, but then these teenage girls sat down next to me - one of whom nearly took my head off with her bloody Supre bag, and didn't even say sorry or excuse me when she'd finally sat down !! Then it was all "wah wah wah wah boys, wah wah wah what are you wearing to the ball, wah wah wah"... and I thought "Oh sh*t, what on EARTH have I gotten myself in for !?!?!" Finished eating as quickly as possible without choking on it, and got out of there.
Then went into Whitcoulls and was looking in the Parenting section first, as I'm still keen to get a copy of Kaz Cooke's "Kidwrangling". $45, and I don't need it straight away, so thought I'd have a quick flick through it to see how it was structured etc (and then would fit it into our budget later)... except then this icky middle aged man walks into the same aisle, and SNORTS I almost dropped the book on the ground it made my skin crawl so much, and was SO close to saying "USE AN EFFING TISSUE !!!" Every five seconds after that he would keep sniffling, so I put the book back and moved away into the Childrens section... luckily he moved out of earshot after that as well !!
Last but not least, three things that are pretty much my own fault - getting home and realising I probably don't have enough time to have a decent nap before the chimney sweep guy is due (new house has a fireplace, but probably needs cleaning out), and so have to stay awake until then. Go into the kitchen and see the HUGE pile of filthy dishes that we ignored from last night, plus an overflowing bowl of vege scraps (we compost) - and wanted to SCREAM Thirdly, once I was finally done the dishes and clearing the counters, I go into the pantry to get a coffee mug... and stub my toe on the effing potatoes sitting in the bottom of the pantry !!!!!!!!!
Anyway, that just about covers it, can't wait til hubby gets home this afternoon and we get to do 'takeaways night' (we treat ourselves just once a week now) for dinner... as well as maybe watch a DVD or something. Oh ! And I can put up the mobile and tigger thing in the babys room, which isn't so bad I guess
And YES don't worry, photos will come VERY very very soon... I have the paint I need, and just need to make the actual stencils now - have the cardboard but need to figure out a way to print the actual shapes onto paper so I can trace them onto the cardboard and get started.
Thank you SO much for listening to my whinge ladies !!!!!!!!!

Ah Jax, it's safe to say (from the comfortable anonymous distance away from you and hiding behind my computer) that you are having one of those, 'I don't mean to but I hate the world and all the teenage airheads that inhabit it' days where everything is tough. Glenfield Mall does that to me too, but at least they have cinnamon buns! yummy
Enjoy your takeaways tonight, and I hope you get a bit of a rest somewhere along the way.

Half an effing hour late !! *sigh* So now I have to stay up until he's finished. He's currently crashing about on the roof, oh joy.
And I know it makes me sound like a bit of an alkie, but I could REALLY do with a strong drink right about now !!

@$#(%&$#%(&@$#*%&_(*#@$ !!!!!!!!!! Effing computer ate my post...
Chimney sweep man was quick and only charged fifty bucks so I let him leave in one piece.
Rang hubby to tell him about my day, and he told me to check out whether there were any daycare places closer to him right after I was done going on about how wonderful this one was ! Sheesh !
Not only that, but I was "gently" reminded about the towels that were "still" hanging out on the washing line, and that there was a load of washing that was waiting to be done on top of that
And just to tie in nicely with the rest of my day, after out of the kindness of my heart I'd gone and put another load of washing on, I heard the machine start to make these horrible grinding noises - turns out the water into the machine had been turned off
I am now officially ready for that nap... but knowing my luck, DH will arrive home just as I'm nodding off !

Nap = all of 10 mins worth !
And DH only wants crummy fish and chips for dinner, after telling me off for spending too much money !
So I told him I was resigning, and he can run Bird Enterprises Ltd. all by himself

Feeling a bit more relaxed now but to be honest, looking forward to tomorrow ! The fish and chips weren't so crummy, but there's rugby on tonight and I'm not such a huge fan (sorry folks, my number one sport is still ice hockey!). I've got my next pregnancy massage tomorrow anyway, might get to do some painting in the nursery too (butterflies on the door).

LOL I think I was more upset with his choice of dinner because of the fact he didn't ask me first, he just stated that's what we'd be having (not forcefully or anything, but just blurted it out) ! We've found a pretty decent place down in Birkenhead Point - The Codfather And yeah, I'm probably not terribly far from you two

Ah, see to me what sets The Codfather apart is that it is strictly fish and chips, and run by Kiwis... not that my appetite is racially prejudiced, I like Chinese food too ! *goes looking for shovel just in case*

Mmmmmm Fish and Chips....I wonder if Chartwell is the one I go to....is at next to the dairy and the Roast place and bakery? My mind is drawing a blank on the name of the road - darn baby brain combined with lack of sleep and a horrid cold!
