Ayja's birthday is coming up. she is very much a doll girl - not really into the stuff her sister is into - she'd rather set up with her dolls and teddies and take over the couch for the day.

I am wanting to get her an "interactive" baby doll.
Ie..a nice soft one - fairly decent in size that says/does things. as she does not seem interested in anything else we'd really like to get her a special doll.

We have had a good look around, and i know i do not like any of the Baby alive series at all. ICK ICK. (no offense to others with them, i just don't like them).

what do others have? any reccomendations?

I did see one today at farmers that i liked the look of, is $69 though. is by Lissi brand, the biggest and most pricey of their brand and apparently moves eyes and mouth and makes noises with the bottle and dummy. however does not have a try-me function which leaves me dubious as to the noises it makes (do they sound ok, or do they sound tacky and weird) and what does it actually do ..ie is it worth it.

If anyone has one of these or has seen one of these/knows someone's child has one, I'd love to hear. Otherwise any other recommendations would be great

ETA:
I did find it online this is it here: http://www.lissi.com/deluxe_interactive_baby.html - Lissi doll

what do you guys think?

Most of the soft dolls I have seen around can be a bit odd. We bought a wet & dry doll (you give it water and it does wees LOL) for Hannah from K-Mart at the end of last year and it is definitely the favourite around here for Kryssi.

hehe, yep - we are wanting to AVOID drink and wet dolls like the plague.

Any opinions on the doll in the link? do you think it's worth it?

The doll looks cool, I haven't seen one out of the box before tho, what if you ask the shop to open it up for you so you can have a look at it?

Ok the Lissi noises would drive me insane but Alia got a Lissi doll & it's lasted really well. I think she's probably had it 3-4 years?

I think that Lissi one sounds cool and $70 isn't bad. I don't think that baby Millie would be as good and the postage is quite expensive.

the lissi one does sound very cute. If you do decide to get it, can you let us know how it is? Ella is also obsessed with dolls so we were thinking of getting her an interactive doll for her 2nd birthday.
