I've only just started liking these, they were huge on my little girl when she was younger and only fit on the smallest setting now at 6 months! But they look very comfy and she doesn't get any red marks from them.

Sheena you may find that once your MCNs and inserts have been washed a few times that the leaks stop, the microfibre needs to washed to have the ability to contain the moisture.

Arianne screams when she does on pee in her itti bitti, must not like the wetness feeling.

I use these ones too and they are great, I have however had a problem with one colour (the aqua one) it bunches up and the stuff on the inside that stops the leaking sticks together :( Has anyone else had this problem.

I love the fact they expand to fit and come in great colours Ü

I have just bought 4 of these to use at nights...how many inserts are you using? Are you using the inserts that you can get with them or others/ (I have heaps of others so am going to mix and match) Are you just using microfibre inserts or are you putting bamboo boosters in as well?

Sorry for so many questions, you would think after 2 years of cloth I would know all this!!

I just put in what I had used in another nap and had no problems with...my only question is, is the fleece supposed to roll out a little? Haven't had nappies that do that before, does it not make the clothes wet with the fleece showing?

I had a whole bunch of these but I sold them on TM a while back. The microfleece on the leg bit would always turn outwards and then his clothes and sheets would get wet. So after a while I gave up.

Im still o the search for the best night nappy. He seems to wee sooooooo much. The nappy will be sopping (but he's dry) but it's like there's still not enough in the nappy.

Well we have used them for 2 nights with both kids, had no leaks, both very full nappies by the morning, but no leaksn and no red marks on their legs which is great. May have to get a couple more now.

So Jess, are you saying you prefer the ecobubs over the babycheeks?

Posted By: BessieBear
Date Posted: 28 April 2009 at 2:36pm

I think she prefers the ecobubs, lol.
I like the baby cheeks inserts, How many are you using for day and for nighttime.

R can have a bamboo trifold and a microfibre (3 layer) for day for about 3 hours, and nights are like 2x bamboo trifold and mirofibre (3 layers) and its soo heavy in the morning.

I can't put a spozie  on him at night anymore cause they split at the front ful of wees.

Yay I've been wanting to try these, but wasn't sure how good they would be...

Will have to go pick one up this weekend to try out...I'm wary, only buy one of different kinds to start with, have bought some useless nappies in the past!

A couple of questions for all you baby cheeks lovers out there.

I tried one on Cooper this morning that i brought off TM, it was on for 2 1/2 hrs and started leaking. I only had 1 insert in there and it was really wet. Did I have the leg bit too loose? It was on the second snap button.

How many inserts do u use during the day and at night?

Is it normal for the fleece around the legs to point outwards which I find would make leakage easier?

I use them at night, yes the fleece points out but have had no leaks and better no big red marks on his fat little legs.

I use 2 of the microfibre inserts that come with the nappies, plus a bamboo booster and a 4 layer bamboo fleece insert (homemade with stuff from greenbeans). Seems bulky but it works for us and some mornings all 4 inserts are wet end to end, and others they are only wet half way down (normally all 4 are wet through though.) My boy tummy sleeps most of the time and he is dry in the mornings.

Are your leg snaps the second from the inside end? Joels are snapped so there are 4 snap bits showing then snapped on the next one. IYKWIM. They may have been too loose, it did take a little bit of a trial to get them right and we only use them at night so with less inserts in may make a difference.

Have you got any boosters? If I was using during the day I would put in 1 insert and a bamboo or hemp booster as they aren't too bulky but make the nap last longer....but I would have been inclined to change at about the 3 hr mark anyway.

They were on the 2nd snap so 5 snaps were showing. Maybe too loose? I guess it may take a bit of trial and error, I am new to this cloth nappy system all together and really liked the look of these nappy's and their system.

I only have the inserts the nappy came with. So maybe I should try a booster, whats the difference between a booster and an insert?

I have just put another one on him with two inserts and found them bulky, fits better around the leg but I had to loosen off the waist snaps by one due to increasing the inserts.

Hmm, so I tried another Baby Cheek nappy on Cooper this morning and used 2 baby cheek inserts, 2 1/2 hours later there was a little leak out of one of the legs this has happened twice now and I am not totally convinced wether to buy any more?

Not sure if the leg snaps are tight enough, they are on the second tightest so am wondering if they need to go on the tightest? The leg gussets don't seem to be gaping.

The inserts were both wet but not to the end and not soaking, so not sure what to think.

I'm still getting leaks every time I use a Baby Cheeks nappy, I'm sure its the microfleece that sticks outwards round the leg opening.
And now the PUL is separating on one of them, aargh! Its one of my few brand-new nappies, and its a worse performer than all my 2nd hand nappies. Definitely not buying anymore.

Must take alot to fit them right.

Tried them on the tightest leg size and made sure the nappy was fitting snug, And got leaks at around the 2 1/2 hr mark again. Am wondering if I need to use different inserts, maybe a soaker, but don't know much about that either.

I'm using the nappies on the tightest snap settings, and still getting leaks though. And I'm using a Babycheeks insert and a homemade hemp trifold. I've checked around the leg openings, and I'm sure the elastics are tight enough. Will try the knees to tummy thing, and see if it makes any difference.

Maybe our boys legs are not chunky enough? Seems like I am having the same troubles as you whitewave. How long does Cam's last before they start leaking?

Date Posted: 24 May 2009 at 3:12pm
Kristy, its probably about 2 and 1/2 hours for Cam when they start leaking, too. Cam does have skinny legs, so that could be that. I think if I add any more inserts though, it'll be so bulky and he won't be able to move his legs!
I might wait a few weeks, and see if he starts fitting into them better.

I went to but some more at farmers the other day and they were up to $39.95....I bought the exact same there a couple of months ago and they were $29.95 and had 30% of that day so made them around $24.

Yes farmers is a rip off! They had one with $29.95 - must have been old stock, then all the rest were $39.95. I saw them at the baby factory with a normal retail price of $27.95 each. So farmers would have to have 40% off or more to make them a good deal now.

Yeah i ended up getting them at baby factory, couldn't believe how much they had gone up....must look on TM again. Need a few extras as Leah is going backwards in her toilet training at the moment and wants to be in nappies, and seeing as she is sick I can't be bothered with that battle right now!

They have gone up to $34.99 from $27.99 at Babycity too :( Also there is only one insert in the babycheeks nappy... is that right?
This might seem like a dumb question... but, what about the poos? If the liner is behind the microfibre panel, how do you keep the mircrofibre from being soiled?

Posted By: Mamma2N
Date Posted: 25 June 2009 at 1:15pm
I'm assuming you're meaning the insert?? Don't worry about any part of the nappy being soiled - it will come out in the wash and any stains will magically disappear with a bit of sun (even on a cloudy day they'll bleach out).

You can also get disposable liners or reusable microfleece liners.
