Ok so, in my opinion it's only actually 95% or so finished, but I figure I've kept you ladies hanging for long enough

The view from the door...

Directly to the right, the closet (doors closed)

Closet again ! (doors open)

Entire right hand side of the room...

Close up of the bassinette... (sorry about the shadow!)

Have also since added a mobile to the cot !

Left hand side of the room...

The change table / bath unit...

On the wall space above the change table / bath... (Have added Tigger and *finally* got Pooh to stay up with some double sided tape )

Dresser close up (top)

Book case close up...

And last but not least, after a lot of fiddling around and hard work, the beginnings of the butterflies that I am stencilling onto the door and painting !

This is the 'front' side that you see when you walk in, will possibly put them on the back as well unless I hang up a whiteboard there. (Colors L-R: Purple, pink and gold... the last one it's hard to tell coz I had to take the photo with my cellphone sorry!)

Hehehe proud of myself is right, it's the only thing I've got left that is a big enough distraction from the panic that is slowly starting to creep up on me LOL

I still want MORE clothes though, damn that shopping addiction rearing it's ugly head !! Almost lost the plot when I wandered into T&T the other day and saw all the cute wee things on sale - left empty handed believe it or not as I know poor Rols would have had a conniption

With the butterflies, just wait til it's actually all finished - that's only the first three on the bottom part of the door Might paint the back as well unless I put a white board on there... we'll see !

That is such a cool room. That polka dot soft toy. I have one. Is it a cow or a horse. I'm asking b/c it has horns like a cow, but then it has that bit on the back of it's head like a horse. I call it a cowsey. Half cow half horse. Hehe

*cough sneeze splutter sniffle sneeze sniffle cough*

I tried to sleep in this morning but couldn't after hubby got up to go to work, so made him his lunch, lay there for an hour and then gave up.

Am going to ring the doc's to make an appt today, even though I'm pretty sure I know what they'd tell me, a) I have health insurance that will cover part of the visit cost and b) the TL I spoke to this morning told me not to bring my germs in and to take the rest of the week off if needed.

Hey mum 2 three,
You can buy those change tables from Farmers. I brought mine second hand off Trade Me (only 3 months old) and it will sure be handy especially with the bath at a good height so you don't need to bend over

Ok, time for an update ! This room is almost finished, sooo close now - all I have to do is finish the door, and put up some net curtains behind the normal printed ones and we're done ! Hubby took some more photos for me though, figured I may as well put them up here for y'all to gawk at

Nursery door (only five more butterflies at the top to paint in!)

What I finally settled on for the shelves... these are photos of all of bubs 'immediate' family, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and a couple of cousins. Got the frames and holders from the good old Red Shed !

So of course with the photos on the shelves, the toys that were on them before got to go up into the toy net that was just sitting there empty...

And here is a shot of the room from the doorway, which shows off the supremely cheerful curtains, again from the Red Shed

Should be all finished by tomorrow or tuesday, have to get DH to help me take down the broken venetian blinds that are behind the curtains so I can put the netting up, but THEN all we'll need is our wee girl to complete things

Oh, and as per the first photo, we got some cute little painted wooden letters to stick on the door and spell her name with - no changing our minds now, hahahaha !

Very cool room - she's going to have MOUNTAINS of fun pulling everything off the shelves when she is Andrew's age....mwah hah hah haaaah (the eveil laugh of a person tormented by a toddle)...Just kidding; it looks absolutely beautiful. Now sit back, relax and enjoy the last moments of it being just you and the hubby in the house.

LOL Hubby keeps making jokes about how we'll just have to change the 'N' in Erin to a 'C' if it turns out to be a boy, but that we're not buying any new clothes I just try not to think about it too much LOL Mind you I will have such a good laugh if she "turns into" a boy on the day

I love the curtains Jax! They finished the room off beautifully.
And the photoframes are an awesome idea... fairly sturdy so that Erin will be able to play with them when she gets a bit older. (Babies love photos)

Date Posted: 12 June 2006 at 1:38pm
Yah I think having photos is a great idea. I have a photo of me when I was 10months old and one of Atish when he was 8-10 months old and in the middles Zaara's photo. I think it looks good. And I agree Nikkie....Zaara loves photos...she loves to put it in her mouth and make them in to a paper ball.....Lol

LOL Well I have backups on the computer, AND the frames are very sturdy, so will take at least a few knocks before they are destroyed by the munchkin My bag is just about all packed now too, decided to leave the nappies in anyway since I managed to fit the clothes in on top without much of a problem. All that's left now is last minute stuff like camera, spare batteries, cellphone etc.

LOL Jax, nope, I think the lamb bagel was a better description of the 'wonderful' Milford 'cuisine'. There used to be a Maccas there a few years ago, but it's been run out of town by a whole new range of food sellers... the pet store has been replaced by a bagel place, Servilles is now a great big gaping hole waiting for something to move in. I only go there for Whitcoulls, Woolies and the Warehouse. (However, there is a good Swiss Bakery across the road from the mall - ASB side).
