Hi everyone
I have absolutely no trouble going to sleep at night, I usually try to stay up till about 10. But every night without fail I wake up about 2 or 3am and lie awake for 2 or more hours and cant get back to sleep. This is making me extremely tired and I was just wondering if anyone had any tips to combat this new habit??

TIA

I had this a little while ago.

I took some sleeping tablets for a few nights but it didnt work, so I bought some sleep time tea from the wholefood place. I gave up alcohol, anything with caffeine and took a nice relaxing bath before going to bed. I also made sure i got a bit of exercise each day just to try and tire myself out physically.

It worked, it took a few weeks to get back into a good routine but it worked. Also talking about anything that might be stressing you out. That can keep you awake at night too.

good luck!

I found that I went through a stage where I couldn't have caffiene after 12pm. Also I got some 'sleep tea' which seemed to help.

No way you're preggers is there?

Apparently if you lie awake for more than a certain time that it's actually better to get up. I think it was 1/2 hour?

Other than don't know sorry. You could always try the theory that if you are awake & shouldn't be coffee can actually put you to sleep. Homeopathic theory of treating like with like.
