Hi,
Just had my first gyno appointment, having been referred by my doc.
Very nice chap :) and I now have a big list of test to have over the next 3 weeks, plus an ultrasound.
Hopefully should have a better idea of what happening with my hormones in the next 4 weeks.
He mentioned PCOS and how common it is, so we'll just have to see what the tests say.

Thanks :)
Already got my ultra sound appointment for Monday and luckily I'm just in time to get my serum progesterone on CD 21, which is Saturday. The other lots need to be taken on CD 3/4.
Back to the gyno in 4 weeks for all the results.

Yay Milliemoo, thats great They might finally get some answers for you soon. I know I felt great going to FA in Ham and seeing the specialist cause finally we might get some answers.
And I have got pcos in one ovary and I never knew, but because its only one it doesn't affect me ovulating as the other good ovary kicks in. Yeah and I also had to have a load of different blood tests, took me about three different visits to Pathlab lol
Funny cause I was always a bit of a wuss about having blood taken, but now I feel like an old pro!!
So exciting, hopefully they will have a plan of attack when you go back in four weeks. We are also still waiting for them to ring and get us an appointment to go back and decide where we go from here.
lol sorry about the me reply hehe

LOL Appy :)
I do see it as a positive though. I'm fairly certain that there's some sort of hormonal imbalance and if it's POCS (apparently 1 in 5 women have it!) or whatever, at least we can then take some action to sort it out.
Glad I should have answers in a few weeks. Not too long to wait.
Let me know what happens when you get your results.

Got my ultrasound tomorrow
I'm sure it'll be fine, but there's a bit more of an element of worry that you don;t get with things like blood tests.
If anyone wants a laugh.... have a look at my chart this month (on the charts thread). It's mental! LOL

Goodluck Milliemoo with the ultrasound tomorrow. Im guessing its an internal one, I had the same one and it was amazing what they could see. They showed me my ovary that has got pcos, so that was really good to see for myself.
As far as the procedure goes it wasn't at all uncomfy, just like a smear really.
Anyway goodluck again

OMG I thought it was just like a normal ultra sound
Hadn't quite prepared myself for anything 'internal' eeeeekkkkk
Milliemoo
p.s I've disregarded a couple of temps on my chart, and it's looks a bit more 'normal' now

Ah Milliemoo, if you are having trouble trying to concieve you will have to get used to the invasion of privacy!! And it is amazing what they can show you, so worth it!
Today we have a postcoital test. Was def not enjoyable bding this morning knowing that DF had to provide the spermies and neither of us enjoyed at all so have agreed we ain't doing that again!

Thanks for the headsup Appy :)
Yes, it was both a standard ultra sound and an internal one.
Looks like I may be going for the double whammy... PCOS & ENDO
On the plus side, there wasn't too many cysts, just a small cluster

It'll be interesting to see what happens with my various blood tests.
As you say, once you know what the issues are, they can be dealt with. Plus it looks like quite mild endo. Fingers crossed.

When she was looking at my ovaries she mention that there was 14 follicles on the left and 20 on the right, but the volumes were good. Does the volume refer to the amount of eggs?

Oh that sucks about having both PCOS and endo but hopefully that means they've got a course of action that might fix things

Milliemoo Im glad they know what the problems are and now they will be able to deal with them. I can't answer your question but one of the things I have started doing is I am creating a list of questions for my specialist on my computer and when I go to see him Im going to ask them all. Cause I have all these questions that I wish I had asked when we were there and also more questions come into my mind in the weeks between appointments and if I don't write them down then I forget.
Anyway hope they have a plan of action for you soon, I know with fertility specialists its all abit of a waiting game so I know Ive had to learn patience when all I want is for them to get on with the treatment lol

Hi guys,
Just got the report back from the Ultrasound, and it appears I may have misheard what she was telling me. I have PCOS but it's not Endo, but something called Adenomyosis. I haven't heard of this before, but t doesn't look like it's going to cause any problems (after a quick google) so that's OK
