Last night I was a bit crook with an upset tummy(sorry tmi!) and since last night I havent felt bubs move a hell of a lot.
I know that at 21 weeks its fairly normal to not feel them a lot but Im just a bit worried because she was very active up until I was sick, and now she is very quiet. I didnt feel her much last night like I usually do, and in bed I didnt feel her much.

I *think* Ive felt some movements this morning, like cervix bunts! But Im not 100% sure.

Do you think I should give my MW a call or just try some coke or coffee first and see if she wakes up or whatever??

At 21 weeks with Caden I felt HEAPS and all the time, but the placenta was posterior, this time its anterior so i know that effects how much movement you feel..

im not sure, ring your MW if your worried and try the glass of ice cold water and lying down for a while and see what bubs does. having an upset tummy may have agrivated him a bit and some babies also move around less when you are sick/stressed but try counting movements for a while and give your MW a call to see what she says. hope your feeling better soon :)

Everything was fine and although I felt bad for taking up their time they were lovely and didn't mind at all. So def get it checked it sux sitting around all day worrying  good luck I'm sure all is fine prob just having a BIG sleep

You could also try a hot bath (well not hot hot, but warm) .. that usually makes Elias wiggle

How did you get on Sheena?? did you ring MW??

She may be simply kicking the placenta which you cant feel and it is a simple coincidence that you were sick.

I gave myself an electric shock at 22 weeks which threw me back on the bed then i didnt feel bubs moving for ages so went to MW and baby was happily moving all over the show and i could feel it

Thanks Girls,

I have felt her this afternoon but not really tonight, she still isn't moving as much as she normally would...
I feel like I should have called my MW earlier, but I didn't because I played some music to my belly and she gave a kick, but since then I haven't really had many more.

Julia, I had a hottish shower just before, and no change really...

I know how you feel, I had a few days where I didn't feel baby move at all and was counting for 10 mvements. You could still ring your mw and you may be able to go in just the check heatbeat.

My mw told me to have a frozen coke, the cold plus the caffeine is sure to get them moving.

I agree though, if in doubt, call you mw.

Yeah thats what Im guessing! I feel like someone has sucked the life out of me tonight, I have a thumping headache, and I havent eaten that well today so that wouldnt have helped!

Im going to lie down now and rest, hopefully she stays nice and wiggly!

Also, your uterus can grow and then bubs plays catch up and so on.  So you have times when they have a bit more space so arent bouncing off the walls so to speak.  I remember my MW telling me that it is normal to go through periods of not feeling anything around that time period.

BTW...I cant believe you are so far along.  Man that has gone fast.  See what a second kid does to you...time flies!

a cold drink of water would have the same effect as coke, and is better for you and bubs too! sounds normal to me tho...lots of women dont feel much at all at 20 weeks.

If it happens again today I'm going to try the cold water trick, we didn't have any ice cold water last night, so Ive made up some ice cubes and will pop them in some water if I need to.

I'm sure it is normal bizzy just can't help feeling a little concerned as with Caden I never ever has this problem he was a constant wiggle bum, and the placenta was posterior.
