Tehehe, on tv over here in Perth they had a man go through 'labour' using electrobe thingies. He had a supporting midwife and could use gas if he wanted. It was supposed to be the average 1st time labour, so 10-12hours, mild pain at first etc. At first he was all cocky about it saying he knows he can do it, afterall his wife had twins and it didn't look too bad.

MORHORHAHAHAHAHAHA.

He cried a bit then gave up at about 3.5hours. Announced that women are soooooo much better at men with pain and he never ever ever wants that pain again.
Mum and I were delighted to show our men

hahaha I love it!

My DH also had kidney stones when Hannah was a couple of months old.
The male nurse said "It's just like being in labour, dude - if your wife could do it, so can you!"

If I didn't have a sleeping baby in my arms at the time I would've punched him

How does one sign her husband up for that I am a bit tired of hearing that a kick in the nuts is so much worse.

He always says "Well do you ever hear a guy say he wants to get a kick in the nuts AGAIN?No. But you woman want more kids, so it cant be that bad "

I'll quite happily kick DH in the nuts while im in labour , least it will provide me with a bit of enjoyment .

DH is far too scared of me tho to say something like that, poor guy could chop his arm off and he'd say
"fark that hurts ! ive lost my arm...but I know its not as bad as giving birth! thank goodness ...i'll just pick that arm up and put it on some ice "

That just proves it women have a higher tolerance of pain then men do.

On an offside i have heard that subluxed knee cap is worse than childbirth. Hmm well it did hurt like hell at the time. I can't comment on the comparison though.

My Dh couldn't even cope with watching me labour so I doubt he would think he could go through one....lol

Yes, but a swift kick to the nuts doesn't reward you with a child lol, I wouldn't do labour again with no reward for my efforts.

Lets not forget that a kick to the nuts, the pain is over in a day , at least (depending on how hard you kick of course , if it hurts for only day , you haven't kicked hard enough )
But labour , you get the enjoyment of the pain during ,AND after pains, and hurting when you pee, etc .
Its not like it hurts only while giving birth and then just because you have a baby the pain is gone .

Besides, I still think its not just pain that makes labour unpleasent , but that feeling of not being in control of your own body as well .

And dammit , they can pee standing up , we are entitled to have something for us , and if that is we can complain about how painful childbirth is, then so be it .
