So seeing that I dont know the NZ products which ones is the best ones to get for those first few days after birth. And how many do you suggest I get? I remember something like 4 packs with McKayla and then going over to the normal ones for the rest of the time.
Plus I cant seem to find any disposable panties like I used with McKayla. It looked like the top part of stockings and was stretching and kept eveyrthing in place specially with a c-section. Anyone know what I am talking about? ------------- http://lilypie.com">

| I used the ones that were provided in hospital after I had Ashlee. They're pretty huge and uncomfortable! But since they were there to use, I did. This time round, I've brought a couple of packets of Libra Goodnights for when things look like they're slowing down and some thick, cheap Budget ones that will do for the really heavy yucky flow. I don't remember how many packets I went through the first time round, though. |

I used the Libra Goodnights, big long fat ones! They are for maternity as well. I also used them when I had AF.
At the hospital I used their budget ones for the first day or so when I was bleeding heavy, as they are free lol, then I started using my Libra Goodnights. ------------- |

| This may sound a bit funny but I know of a couple of women who've used Tena Pants post birth - they double as a maternity pad (they are designed for heavy incontinence so will do the job you intend them for) and support round your tummy after a c-section. |

I just bought some nana knickers to wear for a while post birth
I used the hospital pads while there and then switched to the light pink packet (Libra Maternity?), can't remember how many packs I used before moving to 'normal' pads. I think I will buy 2-3 pkts of maternity ones to start with then send DH up to the supermarket if necessary ------------- Lindsey

Will get the Libra ones and buy 4 packs. Apparently Middlemore doesnt give any maternity pads so have to make sure I got enough. If need be I can get more after that.
Getting my MIL to get me that disposable underwear from SA as they worked so great. Cant believe you dont get it here. Did a search and can order from overseas but will work out better if MIL bring some over for me. Luckily she is closer to me than my own mother even if we drive each other batty sometimes. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

After id left hosp, i used Budget ones for the first few days. Then just the standard libra ones with wings, and for night id get super -------------

I use hospital maternity pads for the first two days then go straight to regular - with wings! (Hospital maty pads don't have wings). Sometimes your PP bleeding can be lighter/heavier depending on whether you had a forced placenta delivery or not (having the syntocin means you bleed less on the day and more in the days after). I have never heard of the disposable panties either.

I used the carefree maternity ones, lovely & soft but I used half before hand when my waters broke. I went on to budget & I could just not bear to spend that much on throw away pads. I used newborn nappies when my waters broke, just as absorbant as a pad! My waters broke for 36 hours before I was even induced and it was 63 before Ella was born!!! -------------

I bought the big super budget surfboard ones for the few weeks after birth and stuffed two in there!
After that I switched to Libra Goodnights. I like to stuff as many as I can in there just in case and don't tend to use regular ones.

Budget works goos for first week as they are tick and much more padding on a sore you know where. I also used these with Tena pants, They were great as I could just throw away the pants and didn't have to worry about washing them if they got sirty. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

hehe.. well you may find this weird but for the first two days I used bubs sposies... just put into my underwear. Was on my MW's recommendation and I have to say they weren't anywhere near as uncomfy as the big bulky maternity pads and they actually worked alot better 
so I'd change bubs nappy, then toddle off and change mine! hehe Then when I got home, went into Libra with wings!
