I put this is general so anyone can answer whether pregnant or not (if your not pregnant so dont lurk in pregnancy area...if that makes sense)
I was told the other day that mothers who have had a baby of each gender have claimed that babys movements while in utero have been very different eg: one genders movements were always more kicks etc the other was more swooping/rolling motions......
What do you think????
Sound right for your pregnancies????

hmm, have never thought of it as a gender thing, just as a different baby thing , but Caitlyn was very poky and proddy , legs sticking out here there and everywhere ,and her kicks were usually at the side
Tyler is more rolling , and kicks more under my ribs . (so far anyway )

Ummm yeah I guess they were different, Caprece was a lot more active. I think its more different babies rather than a gender thing.

I also think its different babys not gender .... but Jake moved constantly and it was lots of pokes/kicks. This girl pushes alot harder and the movements are more rolling earlier on than I had them with Jake - but she doesn't move quite as often. She is bigger (apparently) so maybe has less room?!
Jake also slept most of the night, and this girl moves all night (not a good sign, as he is a great sleeper so maybe this one won't be?!?)

Both of mine were kickers. Luckily I have a long torso so they weren't up under my ribs, but painful just the same!!

Mine have been very different but I think tis because with Caden I had a posterior placenta and felt a lot of sharp hard movements, this time the placenta is anterior and I get soft prods and sweeping motions.
This one is a girl, but I still think its to do with where your placenta is..

Yup I'd be more inclined to say that it is different babies movements rather than gender. Most observations of fetal movements that I've studied and read about found no co-relation between movements and gender. In vitro babies tend to do the same range of moments no matter whether they're male or female as it's preparation for the outside world

Mine have all been different and they're all pink ones. Mercedes was a right bully, beat the living daylights out of me, Sienna was so quiet I had to have CTG's done every 2 days to check on her. Mind you, it can also depend on how bub is lying, coz they could *see* Sienna moving on ultrasound yet I couldn't feel her at all.
Maya was pretty average I guess and lil miss wasn't a big kicker which surprises me coz she has been on the move since the minute she flew into the world and is by far the most hyper of my babies.

sounds like an old wives tale to me then
I dont really remember how Bay was (except that he was very quiet!) and i dont think i remember enough about astins to compare but from what i can recall he was a kicker and this baby is a roller!!

Definately not for me. Dominic kicked me repeatedly in the same spot 24 hours a day, I swear I was bruised . One day I counted that he kicked me over 400 times (big kicks not little ones) in a 6 hour period . I don't know what she was doing but Isobelle's movements felt like she had a knife and was cutting her way out. Needless to say I was not a happy, glowing pregnant women!
