I might be having a preggie brain moment, but what do people do when travelling with babies and kids that are supposed to be in car seats? Do you book taxis that have car seats or take your own?

I can only speak for London, you can take the whole pram in the back of black cabs. Otherwise I think if you book a minicab you have to request it.

Also some countries don't actually have seatbelts in their cars so there is no point lugging a car seat over there!

We have brought a great travel car seat. Would only be good from about 9 months on thou. Its basically a board that has the belt threaded thru and then cliped to secure and has a five point harness on the front. Its light and easy to pack/carry so def look into one if you do lots of travel.

In Aussie we rent cars so just hire a carseat there as easier than taking our one over.
