I'm so over my boys dribble. He dribbles constantly whether he is teething or not. People are always saying to me "oh he's teething" but I really don't think that he is. He's got four teeth alread and I don't see any signs of any others yet. He just dribbles constantly.
I use bibs but the a big and bulky and don't look very comfy. ANy suggestions because I'm sick of changing his outfits at least three times every day just so that his cloths are dry and warm. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Sorry this doesn't answer your question but can you shop around or sew some more user friendly bibs? I know some ladies on this forum are ace sewers and may have some ideas re fabric. -------------

I might have to. I have thousand of bibs but they soak through in minute unless I use the icky plastic backed one.
I know I am just gripping but I really feel sorry for my little guy- he is always so wet. I mean his shirts don't just get a little dribble on them, I can wring them out and that's with a bib and in only half an hour of wearing. Doesn't anyone else have this problem or is his dribble really that unusual? ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Have you tried the mum2mum bibs, I have a mega dribbler and find they are awesome, they have some shaped like neckscarfs so not too bulky, not made out of anything plasticy, but they do not soak through I found all his others soaked through.
If I make the mistake of leaving a bib off for a while, t-shirts have to be changed and everyone says he's teething, although no sign of any yet. I think he's just dribbly. -------------

Hayden was a mega dribbler from about 6weeks old, so wet and goobery all the time, about 3/4 days after we started using a teething necklace the dribble stopped! I wish I'd used it earlier, I'm not sure the dribble was related to teeth necessarily as he was dribbling at 6 weeks and first tooth appeared at 7mths but the teething necklace worked so worth giving it a try perhaps. It should be a Baltic Amber necklace.
Also SillyBillyz bibs are very good, bulky a little for every day use but they have a soft plasticky type backing that isnt stiff IYKWIM so wet doesnt soak through to cloths. -------------

Ethan is 15 months and still has this a lot but mostly when teething..when he was little it was really quite often..like most of the time..so i sympathise!:) ------------- Mum to two amazing boys! |

Yes I have found that the amber necklace helps but still it is bad without it. When I take the necklace of it is uncontrollable.

| He might just be a dribbler. Dom was, he was always dribbling and had to constantly wear bibs or he would soak through his clothes in minutes. He probably stopped dribbling constantly at about 16mth-ish. I just went to the warehouse and bought a heap of short bibs because they needed changing constantly. Mum2Mum are good and I had a few of those if we were going out and wanted him to look a bit tidier. |

Ruby dribbles heaps when she is teething
I got some smartbibs from trademe and they are awesome. They come in really cool colours and no matter how wet they are on the top, it doesnt soak through. -------------
