I'm looking at buying a Medela 'Swing' Breastpump and they advertise that its "...nice to use, quick, quiet, comfortable, and easy...".

Have heard that Medela pumps can be noisy and I'm quite nervous about that aspect. Does anyone have the 'swing' version and can you put my mind at ease about the noise level?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

You can definitely hold a conversation while using it, put it that way. ;) It's definitely not what I'd call loud: it didn't wake DH up when I had to pump at 2am, and wasn't intrusive when I had to pump at work - all good.

There's a video on YouTube that may give you an idea - not too sure, we're watching a movie so can't check it out too loudly. ;)

Sorry to highjack post - but I have a Medula Harmony (the manual version of Swing).

Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade a Harmony to a Swing by buying the electric pumping mechanism?  Is this possible??
