My apologies for the ongoing technical issues, I know how frustrating it is for you all! Our technical team believe they have identified the cause of the issues, and are now working to resolve them. I will keep you posted on their progress via this thread. Please hang in there, I promise OHbaby! will be back to normal as soon as humanly possible! We now have too much traffic for the server to cope so need to optimise our database and batch delete some old/unused stuff, but there is a bug making it a bit trickier than it should be. That's why the forums are running slow, which then causes Time Outs which cause the random error messages. ------------- Maya Grace (28/02/03)

lol my money was on server issues - glad they can resolve it without you guys having to buy a new one.
The errors seem to be worst around midday - is that when they're running their batch processes? ETA: Sorry meant to say, thanks for all your sleuthing Emma  -------------

Oky doky, update time. They are going to do what they can to patch things up today so we run OK over the weekend, then next week they will get stuck into the server optimisation which is going to take several hours.

Could this bug have been passed onto anyone? Just wondering cause since Iv started using the site again my whole computer has been playing up and was thinking maybe a virus? anyone else experiencing this?? I think there's a majority of us having the log in issue - it won't be a virus thing but I doubt it will be fixed with the server fixes either. And I hope this is ok to answer but I'm pretty sure Emma means 'bug' as in there was a coding error in the batch process that the developers wrote not a bug as in a virus. ETA: Because preggy brain made me forget what I actually came in here to post about - I can't get into that thread either. -------------

Emma I can't update my profile without changing my username why is that?? I want to change my emal addy and password and address and stuff since its all what I originally had when I first joined but everythings different now. I really don't want to change my username though!! -------------

You should be able to change that stuff from the main OHbaby! profile screen Babe, not the forum profile screen. Does that make sense?
The log in/out thing is on our list of problems to be fixed, it drives me nuts too! And yes, Bobbie is right, I meant bug as in problem, not virus. The site doesn't have any viruses, we have things in place to deal with that. Oh and the site running reaaaaaally slow over the last 24 hours isn't us, it's an Xtra problem - nice to be off the hook for once ------------- Maya Grace (28/02/03)

I did change it on one profile (where I can add my avatar and tickers) but it still won't let me sign in on the new email and it wouldn't let me change the password at all  -------------

That's the forum profile, you need to change it on the main site page. Go out of the forums onto the OHbaby! home page and select profile on the right hand side. It's the same place where you add your baby's birthday/pic to your main site profile.

Yep Emma tried that and it says I don't have enough letters in my forum handle. Is there any way around that or do I absolutely have to change 'Babe' if I want to update my profile? Its says I have to have 5 letters or numbers no symbols and it won't change anything until I choose another handle I'm really hoping its just the site being a pain coz I've been Babe since I joined, it was ok to have 4 letters then. -------------

Is anyone else still having speed problems and thread problems????
today has been the worst so far for me - soooooooooo slow and several times i have tried to open a thread and got some random message, also get the "guest you are not permitted to post in here" even though im still signed in so not a guest!!
