this is your thread to proclaim anything thats making you happy/proud /excited etc

My brag is , I just got Wendys for lunch , DH just got told he is getting $560 for overtime , plus $1600, for profit he has made the company in the last two months, so im very proud of him .
My mw appointment went well, Im pretty much bang on for dates now and bp etc is all normal
And Caitlyn bought home her first chapter book , she is much more interested in reading than she was last year , which thrills me, being such a book lover myself

Anything your chuffed about (big or small ) that you want to share ?

My baby girl just started rolling around the room this afternoon! Napping now, but I can't wait to see if she is off again when she wakes.

My 4 year old son who has ASD, has just started pointing. He has never understood pointing until now, and always just looked at my hands rather than what I was trying to show him. Now he is pointing at everything and saying "can you see the....*whatever he is pointing at*".

Small things, but I'm a proud mum today.

Its not really a brag, but I'm excited so am telling everyone haha.

We chose engagement ring today, and mum is paying for the whole thing, the insurance was only $2500 and the ring we like was $3250 and is different because its made in howick by our old neighbour and they've only done one and its beautiful. Diamond cluster with a yellow diamond in the middle, and round the base where the diamonds sit it has little hearts sooo cute, will be disappointed if we dont get it now haha. And mum is going to pay the extra $700 for us as she wants it to be her gift to us. YAY ME!! I like new things lol

My other brag would just have to be my DP he is amazing and supportive and I have done wonders to keep him haha. He is soo good with myfamily and brothers and I don't know what I would do without him

Oh yay for Maddi walking Daizy!

Well, I sent in a photo I took of Janaya to a photography competition about a month ago, and and I found out yesterday that I won a $250 voucher with Vivid Photography *doosh doosh*

Thought perhaps everyone got one but she called me earlier to say congratulations and that only a few got selected.

Oh and a bit old but Janaya had a test done and shes reading at an 8.5 year old level. It was some reading and comprehension test, she did really well and they told me I have a wee scholar

You're still walking up Mount St?! Go you! Well done on the test too.

My excitement for the day: we have a cleaner (! yes, that's exciting too) and today she cleaned out the fridge without me even asking - yay! And she folded all the laundry, did the ironing and put everything away. Nice

Well... don't know if I want to brag about it, but I'm pregnant!  With baby #4!!  Eeeek!

I just spent the BEST week away with my delicious husband in Melbourne and we had SUCH a good time together and I love him soo much!  He looks after me so well, and his children.  I didn't think after being together soo long that I could still love him more and more every day!

Aaaaannnnd .... I have the best kids in the world!  They did so well to spend the week away from their mum and dad, and they were so well behaved for their nana, and then their Aunty.  They are just awesome!

It actually wasn't too bad. I just had to drive around and make sure I kept checking my mirrors and keep to the speed limit!! I didn't have to do a 3 point turn or reverse into a driveway or do a parallel park or even an angle park! All he made me do was reverse down the street about 10 metres. Probably should have done it years ago but it's easy to say that now!!

Thought that after the great day I had today i should revive this thread!

First of all, I went to work and only called home about Lexie 3 times... thats 3 times less than last week.

Lexie was really good for her dad and he managed to get her down for a couple of good 1 hour sleeps today (which is fantastic for her)

I got to finish work early to come home and see my baby before we went out for dinner for my birthday and in the time I got home she decided she was going to roll from front to back for the first time! best part was both Me and DF were home so both got to see it, along with one of my best friends! She did it four times aswell!

Went to dinner with my friends and was spoiled with a new handbag and also a $70 spa voucher, as well as a 4 layer chocolate cake, baked by one of my guy friends! It was soooo amazing!

Was such a great day!! Especially after the horrible one yesterday so I am now classing today as my birthday instead

Awww Bex that was a FAB day, what a clever little poppet you have there!!!

Mmmmm wine.....

My Brag is that DS (19mths) has learnt the basic shapes in the last few weeks, I have no idea at all if that is on target for his age or whatever and I dont care LOL I'm very proud of him and think he's very clever. He knows circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval (which he calls ovaegg ha ha) and diamond - can say the words (or at least I know what he is trying to say!!) and points to the right shape or brings me a tupperware lid from plastics drawer and will tell me what shape it is unprompted

Yay for reviving the happy thread!

After feeling very upset about my car, I figure I should find something to be happy about    I used a sleep wedge for DS for the first time this morning and as soon as I put him in it his eyes closed and he was fast asleep! I think he likes the security of it as he falls straight asleep in the capsule aswell - awesome, hopefully that will even out the flat head that he is developing on the other side!

Sounds like a great post birthday day yesterday bex

Aww I love this thread!

Hannah seems to have the memory of an elephant! (which isn't always going to be a good thing!).
But after reading her "My Cat Likes To Hide In Boxes" twice (over two days, before bed) she can recall what *almost* all the cats like to do.

She remembered that my sister's DP was eating a tomato last week during their Skype chat this morning. He appeared on the computer screen and before she even said hi she asked "where tomato?".

She knows nearly all the letters of the alphabet now (and can give us an example of a corresponding word for about 7 or 8 of them) and can count to 10.

Oh, and I'm 20 weeks pregnant this week and hopeing to find out the sex on Tuesday.
Not that that's a brag, but it's exciting for me

yay wiked forrum , iv got a double brag

My brag is that yesterday Amelia (8months old ) took a bottle for the first time ever, no crying , no fuss , just lay there and took it and she had another one today hassel free  so i now no longer have a baby stuck to me every moment of the day , iv had such problems trying to get her to take one and with me having to go back to work in may i was wondering what i was going to do , also now dp and i might actually be able to go to the movies or out for tea for once and nana can give her a bottle :) ,  ooooo we may even be able to look at her staying over night at nanas one night , love her to bits but a night off and a sleep in would be pure bliss :)

on sunday after amelia never once sleeping through the night and waking between 5-10 times every single night i finally started a sleep programme and i have stuck to it , it might only be tuesday but so far its worked a treat , hate hearing her cry it out but its getting better and better , she only woke twice last night and was only crying 15min each time , best sleep in forever , i cant remember the last time i felt so alive .

My brag is that we just drove into our garage this afternoon and Rowan announced "do wees on potty now"
We got inside, took her trousers and nappy off and got her on the potty and she went!
How good is that bladder control that she could tell us that far ahead?

Not so much a brag but warm fuzzies, Jake understands what we are saying to him. Its such an amazing feel to see the recognition in his eyes and he is forming his first words. They are just sounds but I know what he is saying.

It rocks being a mum

I just wanted to brag that i have nearly finished making SIL's ball dress, totally not my style of dress but that is probably because i am no where near skinny enough to wear it.

I knew there must be a brag/gloat thread around somewhere.

I'm just going to have a big gloat - not that anything in particular has happened I just feel like it.

I'm very happy with me and my life, I'm confident in my abilities as a mother and partner and in myself as a person. My partner is awesome, more than awesome - I'm pretty smug that I have someone like him. I almost never complain about him, he does everything perfect (and no we aren't in the honeymoon period, we've been together for almost 8 years ). Jude is the smartest, brightest, bestest and most cruisy baby ever. I'm not biased at all My family is wicked and we are all super close (parents, siblings, grandparents etc).

I think all of this a lot - isn't it awesome when you don't doubt yourself too often and don't have complaints or regrets about many things?

Oh I want to brag about DS... he has started to role play... its so cute.

He has a little fisher price telephone and he has started picking up the receiver and "chatting" into it! If we say "ring, ring" he finds the phone and picks it up and chats and sometimes hands it to us to talk too!

Awwee, my little guy is growing up!

I had my 6yr olds parent teacher interview before hols and found out my son is a disrupter and sits with the teacher a lot. not a naughty one just wont stick to task and then distracts others from their work etc

But yesterday he came home to say he not only finished his fab story about his uncles coming to stay in the hols but he was the 1st one finished!!!!!

very proud to say the least so he got to pick an after dinner treat from the supermarket (a jelly tip)

I started him on fish oil to help concentration but only a week ago so doubt they would be working that quick

I was driving home today , with my 8 year old daughter, and a song came on "big girls don't cry " by Fergie , and it made me cry , not just because of pregnancy hormones and being tired, but cos that was the song my darling friend listened to ALL the time before she died, and it reminds me of being at her house .
, Caitlyn noticed my tears as I was singing along , and she put her hand on mine and said "I know this song reminds you of N mum , its ok , sometimes big girls DO cry "

I feel so blessed and blown away that I've raised such a compassionate amazing child .

awwwww Kelly what a sweet thing of your wee girl to say

I am going to brag that i have Just survived the first year of being a mummy without any huge hiccups.... just judder bumps along the way .

I am also going to brag that my Partner is AWESOME!!! i love him to Bits , I love the fact that he helps me out sooo much with Amelia , he has Taken on the role of her daddy and he treats her just like he does his own daughter, as i said in a previous forrum tonight i feel guilty about not providing Amelia with a "natural " father but when i think about it my current partner is a million times the man Amelias real dad is . i am very lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life .

In the last few months Jude has learnt, among other things, to clap, wave, pucker up and lean in for kisses and he signs "finished" and "milk". He loves playing chase- giggles, shrieks and gallops around the floor and then turns around and heads straight for the chaser. He's so clever

ohhh those are the two things im focusing on "finished and milk"
ive been signing milk since my baby was 3months old, hes now 7months, but not had a sign back yet and now hes on solids im using that time to sign finished...... altho i think my sign for finished is actually the sign for dirty.......well he is dirty when hes finished lunch....lol

When did he first sign back? and did you notice straight away?

He signed finished first and has been doing that one for a while - it's the one we are most consistent with. He started doing it perhaps nine and a half months? But only after we asked him if he had finished while doing the sign. For the last couple of weeks though he has been doing it by himself without prompting. Milk is only very recent. Perhaps a week or so. He also does "eat" sometimes as well but it's hard to tell whether he is doing the sign or whether he is just putting his fingers to his mouth naturally when he is hungry. So I don't quite count that one yet. The next one we are introducing is bath or wash because he loves having a bath! Hopefully it gets easier to be consistent with them now he is signing back!

Jude has been using a spoon and fork himself for ages and ages but yesterday and today I noticed that he ate his whole bowl of porridge without using his hands at all - just his spoon. Even tilts the bowl to get the last bits out. Minimal mess, none on the floor at all. Clever boy.
