My almost 2 year old has had diarrhea for just over a week now, she hasn't run a temp or aced differently at all but it has been 9 days now and I don't know what to do. She can't go to care because of it.... is there anything I can do? Or what on earth could this be?? We have never had a tummy bug last this long.

Also no vomitting, no temp, no grizzling, still eating and drinking.

Help??? We are having to wash a tonne of clothes and sheets everyday and the poor thing has a rash

Have you been to the dr? I suggest getting a poo sample and going to the dr to get it tested. If there is a bacteria/other organism causing it, then they may well be able to treat it. I swear by Imodium but I don't know if kids can take it. Given that she has no other symptoms, I wonder about a gut bacteria. Has she started any new foods? Also wondering about a reaction to something she's eaten.

You poor things.    Hope you get an answer and fix soon.

Have you been to the doc and had it tested? They recommend you do that if it has been going on longer than 48 hrs I think. Ashleigh had campylobactor a year or so ago and it lasted 10 days I think. Just runny poos, no other unwell symptoms. I have no idea where she got it from!! She had a terrible nappy rash aswell and its hard to give them nappy off time when they are pooing all the time    I would let her play in the bath for half an hour or so twice a day with some salt in it, plus didn't use wipes as they stung and lots of barrier cream. Hope she gets better soon

Astin had campylobactor early last year which meant the diarrhia lasted for well over 2 weeks and his poos smelt sooooooo bad!! i think he was a bit off the whole time though, not eating with temp etc I took him to the docs after 2 days and they took a sample to test. I dont think there was any kind of meds though except for pedialytes bcos he wasnt drinking.

Def take her to the docs.

I work in public hospital and norovirus and campylobactor are rampant in the community at the moment. 9 days is a little long for it to be noro. Has she been on antibiotics? that can cause c.difficle (in the elderly, I presume in children as well....)

I would def take her to the Dr and they may take a faecal spec to be sure. Let us know what Dr says,
