Am I being paranoid about SIDS or is it best to use a protector on my moses basket enviro-foam mattress? I bought the Dr Sprott style one but when I got it home I realised that it is a more permanent thing - you wrap it around and stick it down with the adhesive strips.

Anyone done this? Or do you feel it is necessary?
Thanks for advice!

I had one in the bassinette and Cot, but never bothered in the moses basket. I guess a lot would depend on how much time you plan to have the baby in it. Sam was only in hers for a few hours during the day or if we went out and she needed to sleep. So long as it is a new mattress and a firm fitting sheet you should be fine.
