Anyone got any fan-dangle tips for cleaning the mineral build up from the inside of a kettle?

Sure I had a book for 1001 uses for vinegar but can't find it......

My kettle looks like it's about to get up and walk away.

Baking Soda??? I hear that works on everything.

Oh- or perhaps that stuff people use to clean their dentures???? My mum uses that to clean her tea stained cups lol.....
Disclaimer- anything suggested above is pure speculation, any concequenses are not my fault.

Just boil some white vinegar in it (dilute it a bit and don't fill it up to high). It gets all the lime deposits off mine.

Great. Our build up is brown and flaky. I think it's a cross between our water and old pipes as the hot water comes out brown every now and again. I only fill using the cold tap but need to scrub it out with a scourer every few days. Problem is it was a gift and is a fancy stainless one. Great jug but the top is quite thin and i'm a fatty boom ba hands.

Boil a wee bit (1/4 cup) of vinegar, twice, then rinse - works for us!

I have the same problem with water/taps, never struck it before and we moved to where we are quite recently...kinda surprised me first time gross coloured water came out.

I think there is supposed to be something that cleans kettles out? No idea what it's called, but I need to get some. I have the same problem with having a stainless jug and the top of it is pretty small, can't really get in to clean it...I've just chucked baking soda and vinegar in, worked OK but could really use something that works a bit better.
