Emma Rose and I are snuggled up under the duvet in front of a movie -- it's too cold to do anything else. Even typing this, my fingers are chilly! Please, join me in complaining about the cold... Anyone?

That sounds like a great way to spend a wintery Friday night!

I have heaters running at both ends of the house but I'm still dreading leaving my nice warm lounge and going into the kitchen because that will be freezing.  Once I have tidied up the lounge and kitchen (after I finish procrastinating) I am heading off to my bed to watch TV.

p.s. I was soooo cold on Wednesday I ended up wearing  microfleece jacket under my woollen coat (as well as my hat, scarf and gloves).

ETA: Going outside in this weather is a major mission for me because I don't fit any of my winter clothes and there's no point buying any winter maternity clothes since I finish work next friday and have plans to hibernate until the birth.

I've piled on the layers too -- and am thinking this might be the year I have to break down and buy a winter coat. I have always managed with heaps of sweaters and scarves... But this is too cold even for me, who grew up in the land of blizzards, snowplows, and snow days! Brrrr!

Aw you poor thing, Monikah. Any chance of expressing while in a hot bath? Or is it an electric pump so a bit dangerous? Mind you, I would be inclined to take my chances in this chill!

My biggest overall complaint is how cold the tiles on the bathroom floor are... Yeesh, that's a shock to the senses in the middle of the night!

Me! Pick me!
It's absolutely freezing here!
I'm wearing flanelette jammies and uggs (sexy!!) under the heatpump.

I went out this morning to feed the cats and dog (and slipped over on the frost and now have a lovely bruise on my left butt cheek!) and the paddling pool (the same one I was meant to put away 2 months ago) was full of rain water and frozen over!!

For some reason Hannah loves the be outside on freezing cold days.
She's all toasty warm in six thousand layers of clothing - I'm freezing my (bruised) butt off!!

So Katherine, save me a spot under your blankets. I'll bring the popcorn!

BRRRR!!!

Its SO cold here today, my fingers are frozen, but Ive turned the ehater off to save gas until tis really really cold later lol, so Im sitting here in my woolies, Caden is in bed in his woolies, I put the little heater on in his room for a while when I put him down for his sleep, his room was like a ice box

I am running the upstairs heater 24/7 and the one downstairs is on 16 hours a day, that's how I intend to get us through winter and screw the cost and the hydrolake levels.  This baby is also going to have snowsuits in several sizes for when we go out to kindy/mainly music/storytime (daily routine with #2 is definitely going to be different than it was with #1).

i guess i should already know the drill seen as i did have an early july baby a few years ago but it was a different house (even tho im poss the last house was heaps colder) but i seriously cant remember how Astin dealt with the cold

When i got up to go lu in the freezing cold at 3am i looked at the basinette and got the dread of my wee baby in that cold!!!

might have to go buy one of those wall heaters...

I remember that with mittens. The wall heaters (ecnoheat heaters) are really good. We have one in every bedroom now. Daniels room actually gets a bit too warm with it on all night so need one of those timers for it to go off for a couple of hours

my mum has the timer wall heaters in all her rooms.

hhmm i never had woolen mittens for my boys bcos i have a weird hate for woolen things (as in knitted things not everything wool) they give me a gross shiver!! hate the feel of them.

awww I'm not too cold here mind you being a walking heater and all at the mo, I do have my legs under a blanket and the dehumidifier on we are trying to avoid using our good duvet and heaters until later, I figure I can just put the normal layers on instead like a jumper and socks and slippers etc as most of the time I don't wear them, dunno why weird I know.

Its pretty cold. Had to go out today so we all put on a million layers (poor Maddi couldnt move, her arms permantly sticking out the sides :P)

Now that I am home tucked up in bed I am enjoying being toasty. We also figured out that if we block the bottom of the front door our house is 100 times warmer - yay

My crazy children stripped off and played in puddles today. They only lasted ten minutes but still ten minutes longer than I wanted to be outside.

Wow Amber I can't believe its nearly time for you. It feels like it was just the other day you were waiting for Astin to arrive.

Our heat pump has been running 24/7 lately, our bill will probably be huge but who cares. I am all for warmth!!! Its absolutely freezing here - we had to go out yesterday and I swore it was about to snow.

The house is actually snuggly and warm but I haven't opened the front door yet so who knows what will meeet us out there!
