Hi Girls,
Me again! Just another question. I have my 20 week scan this week and was wondering whether there have been any of you who have had their 20 week scan who have found out the sex of the baby at the time to be told the sex and when you have had the baby it was the opposite? My midwive told me the other day that I shouldn't get too excited because they can sometimes get it wrong?

My sister-in-law's friend had a boy last year, but was told it was a girl at the scan. I have this in the back of my mind,...but my 20 week scan last week said we are having a girl,...and it looked like it to us too,...so Ive already gone and brought some pink stuff, and shes now "she" and not it!

hmmm well I was worried about the same hting mut my midwife said the opposite, she said as long as they get a clear look it should be virtually 100%...gosh I hope it is right otherwise we will end up with little boy who wears a heck of a lot of pink LOL!

We're hopefully finding out the sex of our gremlins today too. I'm figuring that with two, they should be able to get it right considering they are both the same.

We were told Maya was a girl at 19 weeks, although the scan lady said she 'looks like a girl' but wouldn't say she actually WAS a girl, I guess in case she was wrong.

There wasn't much doubt about Kiya or Josiah when it came to finding out what gender they were... both were flashing their bits for everyone to see! Even I could figure out what they were!

My cheeky husband says that our kids must take after their mum, 'cause they never had their legs crossed! I threatened to cross my legs for a week if he didn't shut up!

Good luck today Emma! Looking forward to hearing the result!

We found out at 20 weeks and she said we have a girl. I asked how accurate it was and she said 99.8% so hopefully that's right otherwise we have some mighty girly stuff to exchange!!

oh wow emma, cant believe how far along you are now, feels like yesterday you were just pregnant.
Kobe was very obviously a boy, he was letting it all hang out but this time round it took ages because she had her legs crossed and the cord in the way but finally got a good shot and the lady said it was definatley "a hamburger rather than hotdog" and this was confirmed at a scan I had about 3 weeks ago. Ive never personally known anyone who was told the wrong thing

i've never known anyone to be told the wrong sex either. jack was definately not shy either, there was no mistaking his 'hotdog'

Perhaps my midwive just doesn't think finding out the sex of the baby is a good idea - she may have made it up for all I know but having said that one of my sister's friend of a friend did have that happen to her but in this girl's situation the sonographer may not have been 100% certain of the sex to start with. Thanks for all your advice girls I will post the results on Friday yippee can't wait!
