DD has outgrown all 0000,000 & most 00 sized clothing now.

I have put away all the nice stuff and more expensive stuff (PP etc) and have given the rest to a pregnant friend.

I was thinking i will keep all the nice stuff for number 2.

But now im thinking what if i have a boy, and what if i dont try for another one for a good few years etc.

Im thinking maybe i should just sell it all now while its still nice and modern etc.

What do other first time mums do sell clothes or keep them???

I kept all mine and ended up with another girl..however.. they were born different times of the year, so most of the clothes I thought I could reuse, have been the wrong type for the weather! So yeah.. I guess you never know what sex the next baby is, but also, when they will be born

Hey I know that I will be trying for our second bubs next year sometime, so I have kept all my newborn stuff. A lot of my new born stuff is neutral as I brought clothes when I didnt know what sex bubs was. I also dont mind putting blue on a girl so I will use most of Kades new born clothes again.

I guess its really up to you but I prefer to keep it as it all helps in the beginning when bubs first arrives.

I kept a few nice outfits for memories lol

Singlets and stretch and grows are really good to keep as every baby wears them. I had different sexes at different times of the year and managed to reuse some of the stuff I had kept. The rest was either put in their memory boxes or sold. PP stuff still gets bought years later lol

I had kept all Keiras clothes. We ended up with a second girl which was great but being born different times of the year and being totally different sizes I dont think Maddi wore very much of it at all. (She never even fit most of Keiras newborn stuff)

Now that she is older though I have found the hand me downs really good, the sizes and seasons seem to be working really well. And I love buying stuff for Keira knowing I can get twice the wear from it. Poor Maddi is always going to be a hand-me-downs girl :P

I am now pretty ruthless with all baby clothes after Maddi and I have been getting rid of it as she grows out of it (Trade me, op shops, friends). There are a few I just couldn't get rid of so I have a special box for those ones.
It feels so much getting rid of it when I know I have definitely had my moneys worth from them.

I never kept anything coz after Maya I was on my own so not having any more babies in the foreseeable future and after the gremlins there were going to be no more! But as soon as I found out I was preg with lil miss (when they were about 12 mths) I started keeping stuff. In all honesty tho, the only stuff she's really worn of theirs is singlets and pyjamas.

I did keep some of Maya's stuff later on (sz 3+) that was in good condition and it's really cute seeing them wear stuff that used to be hers

I have kept special stuff tho - their first outfits etc. - in their memory boxes. But I never reused special things with the next baby, they stayed in the memory boxes.

I've given away all of lil miss' newborn stuff coz I can't be bothered with the hassle of selling it, and I am DEFINITELY not having any more!

I kept all mine except a few preemie gro suits that I sent to my cousin. Because we didn't know what we were having the first 3 months of stuff is unisex anyway.

But I've loaned most of it to my sis so it's getting put to good use regardless.

keep it. who cares if it goes 'out of style' for your next baby. if it works, then you can just use the stuff that's not as hip for lounging around in the house and buy new stuff for when he/she goes outta the house. saves you money and if it doesn't work out, you can sell it off in the end. i'm keeping some for memories for sure.

maybe you could start buying gender neutral stuff now so you're sure the next one will get a wear out of some of the older sibling's clothes.

I've kept alot of Jakes clothes. I lend them out to friends so they're being useful and I'll use them again. Saves money and time. I'll keep them for number 3 too.

Nope, we got rid of most of ours. I kept all the special outfits (coming home clothes, first Xmas outfits etc) for both kids so far, but I will not be giving those to another baby (if there is ever going to be another), they have gone into the kids memory boxes to stay now.
I have also kept all the knitting that my Great grandmother did for my son when she was still alive, again, that's for sentimental reasons though.

I dislike clutter, and hoarding, so I tend to get rid of things as soon as they become useless to me, unless there is some particular reason to hold onto them.

i kept all of bays clothes but ended up lending them out and not getting them back! luckily i kept the good stuff for the keepsake boxes.
I kept all of astins clothes and have put the good things in keepsake boxes.
I also had way too many so went throught it all a few months ago and gave half to a friend who just had a boy, i kept all the good PP stuff etc.

Im torn between what im going to do with this ones clothes seen as its a little upsetting being our last bub!

I sort out the clothes as he grows out of them. If I love them I keep them - currently have 4 x 60L crates (1 neutral, 1 girls, 2 boys). I go through the boxes every 3-4 months as often after that time I look and think "really, why was I keeping that?" so just list on TM or drop to the op shop after each "clean out".

I am keeping his coming home outfit and xmas outfit but they rest will go if we have a wee girl.

I kept all my newborn up to about 6 months stuff cause it was neutral, lucky for me I ended up having a baby the same time of the year so can use a lot. I just bought one of those vacuum sealed bags.

It all kept quite nicely for 5 years

We kept all our stuff but then our plan always was to have a small gap between our kids. As it turned out, we have 2 girls so it worked out great.
I'm getting rid of stuff as Emma outgrows it though and have only kept a few things.

We kept all of Issys PP gear and anything that was in great condition and sold the rest.

When we found out number two was a boy .. we sold it all and funded his wardrobe with the proceeds (well half of it went into Issys savings .. and the other half was used for clothes for him)

Kept - they're in a single box, don't take a lot of room. Even though some things don't work in different seasons, things like singlets pay for themselves over and over.

As Caleb outgrows his clothes I give them to my friend who has just had a baby boy (11 weeks difference between them) & I marked all our clothes so that she can boomerang them back once she's done with them! Caleb was a big baby (10lb 15oz & 59cm long) & went straight into 00's so all the newborn stuff we were given didn't even get worn once!! So glad that Ben (friend's son) was little so these clothes get some use!
