Yup, definitely was expecting that! But then I guess he fitted the 'idol' model best.
I think there were a lot of people the either really loved or really hated Adam. Everyone loved Kris (but what was with the dirty mo???) I am still a big Danny fan - I think he should have won  -------------

I just thought Adam was the better singer, I can't see Kris doing or making anything very interesting.
I could have seen Danny, Adam or even the red haired girl winning. -------------

Kris will perfectly fit the idol 'cookie cutter' mold. Clean cut, straight and you can bring him home to meet your mom.
Adam was totally the better singer. He got to sing with Kiss and all Kris got was a duet with Nicole Kidman's DH lol!

nah, I wasn't surprised (since I looked it up before they announced the winner )
I didn't watch the whole series, that was the only episode I watched haha, so didn't make much difference to me who won . C thought the one wearing all the makeup was ugly tho ....who was that ? Adam ? -------------

I sooooo wanted Adam to win - he was the better singer, had a better range, was ooooohhhh so sexy!!! He had those smouldering eyes....MIL calls them Elvis Presley eyes...
But in saying that - gay singer who ws gorgeous but not entirely conventional......vs devout Christian All American boy who is newly married. |

I think Adam should have won as he is really talented. Kris is great but he is pretty boring and doesn't really seem to have much of a personality. I agree that he was completely surprised when he won, he knows Adam should have!
I think all of Danny's voters would have voted for Kris in the final which is what would have tipped him over. |

I am pleased that Kris won, I thought he really deserved it in a 'might not have had the range or big voice or stage presense' kind of way but in a 'tried really hard, changed things up, had some bum weeks, really grew as an artist and a person' kind of way.
I think his journey to become the American Idol was such a huge growth for him and he took everything on board, stayed true to who he was and really did his best. He will now have the opportunity and tools to make an album and get his music out there. Adam however I feel was already an idol before he even got on that stage. He had an amazing stage presence, a huge voice and a star quality so huge that he was just too big for Idol. He is now free to go and do whatever he wants to do without being tied down to the American Idol contract. He will be HUGE! |

I wont even get started on my feelings about that.
I love Adam he was amazing. I think the main reason he didnt win was due to him being Gay! However i so hope he becomes the lead for Queen. That would be awesome!!! -------------

Yep I agree. I think Kris won because he (and Danny) was mainstream; Adam is very talented but he probably has a select audience. Still, he'll have no problem finding someone to record him! -------------  |

| i actually wondered if Adam didn't win cause he knew a bit much. usually the AI winners are told what to do, what to sing, where to go when they win. I don't think Adam would have been so docile as to accept what he was told he HAD to do. whereas Kris looks so happy to win, he'll do whatever they tell him (which will include recording crappy ballads about "believing in yourself" or something lame like that) |
