It's quite tricky & they end up a bit lumpy. They don;t tuck in very well because it's such a thin mattress. I tend to use a fitted bottom sheet & tuck it well under & then use a sleep sack - much easier!

I found it IMPOSSIBLE! The mattress is supposed to be zipped into the seperate compartment so can't tuck anything under it.
At first when our wee one was tiny we used a pillow case stuffed with a folded cot blanket underneath her, and then a go go bag. The blanket stopped the pillowcase scrunching up.
Later (for winter) I sewed something up for it - two 'pillow cases' that I could add blankets inside on top (to save blankets slipping off), and a cut up camping mat inside the bottom 'pillow case' to keep it stiff (and in place).I put zips up each side, and she slept in her go go bag too.

We haven't actually used it since she was 8 mths old, as she was far too wriggly and now needs to always sleep with a safe t sleep - can't do that in a P & T portact (well I don't know how anyway).

Hope this helps!

I either use a single sheet and wrap the mattress up completely before putting it in or use a fitted sheet as mentioned before. I may have an older model tho as the mattress is free in the bottom and doesn't zip into anything. Fay has been using it from 6 months old and we recently used it for a week for her without any problems whereas she has outgrown in length a lot of other portacots We quite often use a towel of blanket under the mattress to bulk it out a bit if we are staying somewhere for more than a couple of nights
