We swapped when Issy started getting p'd off that the milk wasnt coming out fast enought.

Although Issy wasnt a bottle baby until much later than three months. But you can tell when bubs is getting annoyed the milk isnt coming out fast enough, so at that stage you should move up (or do what we did and make the hole bigger by using a knife lol)

I always used the next size up as I found the teat she should have been having at the time wasn't flowing fast enough.

We're using the Avent ones and the boys will be three months in the weekend so we are moving up to the number three teats (and will stop sterilising at three months)

We changed the teat when Caden started getting frustrated at his bottles. Took us a while to realize that it was the teat flow that was causing him to fuss at the bottle.
I cant remember how old her was though...but it was probably around 2 months old that we changed him to the next size up from 0+ on the TT Closer to nature bottles.

He now uses size 4 teats on the avent bottles and size 3 on the TT Closer to Nature.

I think we knew to change teat size when he wouldn't drink a bottle properly and I couldn't think what else to do.

You could also try with the next level up and see what happens, if its too fast , milk will spill out the sides and they won't like it, or they may take to it just fine.

In our case he wasn't drinking properly and it happened again recently started taking too long on a bottle and I had totally forgot about teat sizes, so now we're up to a 4 (in avent)

Thanks ladies. Noticed today he is sucking the teat so hard it goes flat so i have to take the bottle out let the teat pop up again then give it to him again. Went out and got the next size up today, so will try that tonight.

Yea, it's really just baby-lead. This bubba doesn't like a faster flow teat yet (as we found out by accident yesterday LOL)
