I went a bit overboard when I stocked up on infant nappies thinking that the twins were still on 8 x feeds a day and therefore going through 16 nappies a day. Now they are on 4 x feeds a day so we're not going through the nappies as fast as I thought we would. Of course, I don't have the receipts anymore so has anyone bought the nappies back and swapped them for another size? Only checking because I have tried to do this previously (a year or so ago) and they wouldn't do it unless I had the receipt.

I would try taking them back in or ring the supermarket and ask. My DH runs a supermarket and has swapped nappies for friends and family who have overstocked so it's just about finding someone friendly or helpful!

And if you have no luck at the first supermarket just try another one.

I would try a different supermarket. And if they won't help TM can get rid of them for you. I had a box of infant size giggles that I brought for $5.50 a packet on sale and sold the 8 packets for $42 so only lost a few dollars on them.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Trademe is a great way to get rid of things like that. You can list it as pick up only item which will limit your sale to people in your city/town and save you worrying about postage and delivery.

Or even better, sell them on http://www.kidsgear.co.nz/Classifieds - kidsgear ..you won't lose any money on listing or success fees!

Ahem..anyway, if you are going to buy the next size up you will have a receipt from that as well, so you can always use a new receipt to take back the other size..
