Hi I have 3 children from when I was with my ex husband. My daughter took 5 mths tc {to concieve} my sons took 2 and 1 months tc. Before my daughter I had 2 pregnancies concieved in 1st month. My new partner and I have been ttc since Nov last year with no luck even though the first 4-5 mths I used opk tests which turned positive when I ovulated. I am 30 my partner is 32 {he has not ttc previously} we are both healthy non smokers....Should I be worried??? who do I see about this and do you think I need to or am just worrying over nothing??? thanks

I am sorry but I am probably not going to be much help as like you previously our 2 only took a few mths of TTC, however I couldn't read and run

I friend of mine and her DH who are both in their early 30s tok about 8mths TTC both of their boys and they are both healthy non smokers. She swears that acupuncture helped her TTC. Maybe that might help? Other than that I don't know as I haven't had any experience with IVF, fertility issues etc

Good luck

hey there, I think as frustrating as it is it's still pretty normal...each cycle you only have 15 -25% chance of concieving even with perfect timing... I think the drs say to try for 12 months before seeking help... However, if you are really concerned you could get the appropriate tests done now for peace of mind I guess...

you could try Menevit as well, you can buy it in Pharmacies now.
It doubles your chances of conceiving by making the sperm as healthy as possible.
My DP took it for 2 months before we got our BFP

Like Freckle said theres only a small chance of conceiving each cycle. I'd try your local herbalist as I know that helped a friend who took a few years to conceive her kids. Sorry not much help good luck!

Heya

Just thought I would pass on the very useful info my gp gave me the other week. We have been ttc for nearly 5 months. I have been quite pessimistic about it all as DH is overweight and I have read quiet a bit online about overweight men having lower sperm counts. Anyway I don't really want to wait another 7 months before going to a specialist because lets face it I'm not getting any younger...and if we have a problem I'd rather get it identified and sorted out sooner rather than later. So I mentioned my concerns to my gp a couple of weeks ago. She told me that any man can get semen analysis done through his gp without having to go to a specialist or having to wait 12 months or anything.

We have agreed that we are going to wait another month and then he is going to go and get it done. I figure if it comes back fine then i'll stop stressing and if it comes back bad then at least we can get the ball rolling with IVF or whatever.

I hope this helps. Good Luck!

There also a product called Go Man Boost, which seems to work well.

I am also 32 and i mentioned the fact that we were trying to my GP and she gave us a lab form for DF to get his swimmers checked.

We didn't end up doing that though as i fell preggie before we got round to it, (and he was taking go man boost)

Mention it to you GP, and get a full check up for yourself to make sure you are in the best possible health, ie: no infections etc.

Good Luck and i hope things work out for you....
