Has anyone had one of these? Or heard about them.. I can buy a brand new one for just over $80 from Babyonline but just wondering if the brand was okay - its a european brand which standards (they say) are ok for nz.

I havn't heard of this brand (and it is probably fine!!) but I was reading (and can't remember where) a warning the other day about buying carseats over the internet. I took note because I bought my capsule online. It was saying that there are carseats out there claiming to meet NZ standards, but don't, and so to be carefull and buy brands that you know.

If you are worried that it does not meet NZ standards you can take it to plunket usually and they will check it for you and make sure it is safe.

the ltsa website also tells you what standards are suitable for nz, as one of the guides on trademe.
I know their other carseats meet the eu standards that are ok in nz. Didnt check out the capsule.. we didnt end up getting one though because we found the normal carseats didnt look as comfy for the kiddo

We gpt some gear off them, and it is all fine. I checked out first if it was suitable for NZ safety standards, and they all are.

cool - just checked out Ltsa website and says its okay. received the car seat the other day and the handle was broken on it - due to the box being miss handled cause it was squashed and big rips in it, they took it back and wait for the replacement - lucky we have a while to wait. Car seat (capuale) was realy nice though.

That's great to hear that the capsule was nice. (Pitty about the handle). It's good to hear success stories of buying online, usually only the bad stories are talked about!

I have brought several things on line - mostly not to do with babies. I brought a house lot of carpet and was very impressed with not only the cost but the carpet over all - we were doing up our rental property to sell. OI have brought loads of things off trade me as well.
