Just been reading about this on the net! He's definitely at least had a heart attack and it doesn't sound good.

Not a great day for Hollywood, Farrah Fawcett also died!

Actually reading further, his family have not confirmed that he is dead, but he did suffer a cardiac arrest and is apparently in a coma.

Doesn't look good though!

So soo sad!  I have been a fan since I have little, and was very fortunate to go to his concert in 1995!  I did wonder how he was going to manage doing those concerts, he never looks well.  I feel for those fans who bought tickets to his concerts, they'll be devasted!

Ive been a fan since I was little as well The first album I ever got was "bad".

Even if he himself was odd, his music was and always be fantastic. I saw him in 1995 as well, I feel VERY lucky to have seen him live.

ETA-Yeah geez I feel for all the people who got tickets to the concerts he was going to do, I also wondered how on earth he was going to do them...he has looked sick for ages.

I hope his kids go their mother...well the thrid one has a different mum, but I hope all three go to Debbie Rowe and have some sort of "normal" life...

It all feels very surreal, like when princess Diana passed...

Funny you say that Sheza about when Diana passed... is exactly what my mum said to me...

My mum is a huge fan and went to both his concerts and has all his albums and lots of other stuff, so when i picked her up from the dentist this morning after having a tooth out and having to tell her about MJ she was in tears... i think she is still in shock to be honest!!

RIP MJ

C4 has been thrashing his songs, I can watch the old stuff (which was good)....

but the newer clips, alot I haven't seen before and he creeps me out in them... he was an 'interesting character'...

I wonder if his kids will ever write a book about what their lives were like when they get older

Argh! Michael Jackson is LEGEND, not only with his music, his dancing but his humanitarian work and charity work too.   He tirelessly dedicated his life to spreading the message of peace, helping those less fortunate and making the world a better place.

Not only was his music good, it was GREAT, timeless and influenced countless musicians all around the world.   He was a genius, and so what if he was a little weird, you would be too if you lived the life he did.

And I don't want to get into a discussion about whether the was innocent or not, but I truly, truly believe he was innocent.

Anyway, strip ALL of that away, he was HUMAN BEING, a life, a soul, a person who has died.    I think that your comments are incredibly rude. He has a family, children and billions of billions of fans who are grieving right now and to dismiss his life is heartless and cruel.

Would you do the same to a family member of a person on here if they were famous?   NO.

Have a heart.   Death is sad, no matter who has died.

No offense, but he didn't abuse your kids, and he was acquitted of all charges against abusing other children, which means all you really have to go by is media hype and speculation.

And.. this is the general forum, where we talk about pretty much anything, and this particular topic has nothing to do with parenting.   Some of us are fans who would like to remember a great man who did many many good things for this world.

I don't mean to keep arguing, but I find all the jokes going around about Michael Jackson and the people that are so ignorant that all they can think about is his child abuse case, really disrespectful to a person who has just died.   That's all.

I agree Renee, I get sick of the jokes and stuff too, he has passed away and its very sad, he was a great artist and thats how Id like to remember him.

Im sorry Auqarius, but I have to strongly disagree with your comments on this one, this is the general discussion thread and like Renee said, not about parenting, and this thread in particular is for fans to remember MJ, not for people who dont like him to come in and crap on him and to make us feel like we are bad people for being fans, cos thats how it seems.

Im not usually one to argue my point on forums, but this tows the line!

I know people don't "like" MJ because of how he looks, or how the media have portrayed him, but my goodness his talent was original and brilliant, there can be no arguement there.  I fully believe he was innocent on those charges, others have their opinions, but that's mine.  He had a terrible childhood, which scarred him for life, and controlled how he went on to live his life.

Its sad, but its being overplayed by the media now. I asked mum if it was this bad when Elvis died and she said no.

I think its sad that it overshadowed Farrah Fawcett as well. I think it was even worse that the stupid french rugby player was a more important mention then Farrah Fawcett.

Regardless of your opinion on MJ however he was a performer who shaped music and dance to how it is today. You see little bits of him in everything.

I don't think he was a child abuser or anything of the sort I just believe he never really grew up! What other grown man has a theme park in their background before the idea of kids was even about! Don't forget that he has always been slightly off centre even having a pet chimpanzee.

Very sad to see the king of pop is gone. I remember listening to his music when I was little, sort of made me pull out his records and play them again.

Yes he did have a very troubled life and was missunderstood and we will never know how much of it is true or not true...but he is the greatest singer of our time.

I think you're right.

And I hate to say it, but there are some awful people out there (Michael Jackson NOT included) that would be willing to ruin a person's reputation for a quick buck.   There are people out there that would be low enough to think telling a lie that big could stand to earn them a LOT of money, in that case $20 million dollars.

Like the parents of children who pretend their kids have cancer so they can get donations and stuff.

Sick sick people.

Caitlyn loves Michael Jackson , she watches his clips on youtube and tries to dance like him .

I find it disgusting , that because people are famous , its ok to make jokes about their death , they are doing it with him , they did it with Princess Diana, Steve Irwin , etc etc .
People should have some respect, first of all , he was aquitted of all charges, so that case is dropped, second of all , the man was a musical genius , his songs aren't cool a few years ago , they would still go to number one if they were released today , his dance moves were original and his voice was beautiful .

And if people don't want to respect him for that alone , then respect the fact that he was a dad, and his kids will be hurting right now, just like any other child who has lost a parent , and if people don't want to respect Michael Jackson in life, or in death , fine, criticise the person who can no longer fight back , but at least have some respect for his children .

This is in regards to people making jokes btw , not anyone on this forum cos I can't be ar*ed getting into arguments on a forum
