Hi, we are in the process of setting this up just wondering who people are with and the benefits, also most have 1 or 3GB packages and I was wondering if this is enough or do people usually go over each month?
Thanks

We are with Vodafone (used to be Ihug), we joined last year when they were promoting free broadband til the end of 2008. They're pretty good, don't know how the cost now compares with other providers though.
We're on a 1GB plan, and very rarely go over. We mostly net surf, with the odd music download or short video. If we do go close to going over, you can add another 1GB for the rest of the month for only $5. It suits us really well.

We have our phone line & 1GB (per month) of wireless internet with Woosh. I think we pay something like $50 a month. We haven't had any problems with them, touch wood

We occassionally go over the data cap in the month but it's always so close to the end of the month we don't bother topping up. The speed just switches to dial-up speed so you can still access the net if you need to. You can top up though for a little bit more $$.

We are with Woosh too, we have 3gb and have only gone over once in three years. We pay about $75-80 per month and I make regular toll calls too. We often find in really stormy weather the phone line crackles but hey its really cheap

We are with Telstra and have a 5GB plan. We probably only use 3GB a month but as work pays for it, I haven't bothered to change it. Its about $50 a month for that. But combined with our home phone and digital TV with no movies or sport, it comes out to just over $100 for the lot per month.

for phone and broadband is about $100 for 50 gig ...but my husband's work pays $50 a month towards broadband otherwise it is $60. That is with snap and also a special deal.

we were paying $57 for 10 gig so figured why not pay an extra $3 for 40 more gig.

We're the same as Whitewave. We hardly ever go over the limit, but if you do it just slows down, or you can top up for $5 for the month. Great.

I think its $85/month and includes all off-peak toll calls.

We have the "total home" package with telecom. 10G broadband, phone line cost and includes all national calls to land lines any time of day up to 2 hours. cheap per/minute rate to call cell phones, and $5 cap on all international calls. $99 per month. Had no problems with xtra broadband. DH downloads movies to use up the 10G. We were on 2G and it was nowhere near enough for us.

I am with Telstra and have my home phone, broadband and cellphone all in the same package

Home phone is about $48 per month
Broadband is about $35 per month for the 1GB plan, I usually go over that by at least 2GB per month and it's only $1.99 per extra GB.
Cellphone is $20 a month with 500 texts

I'm pretty happy with them, in 9-10 months my internet has only been down a handful of times and it comes right pretty quickly.

We are with Vodafone for a combined internet and phone. Costs us about $100 per month and we have 20G, which we are currently over this month. We download a heap of stuff, but this is the first time we have gone over. Never had any problems with them, and their staff on the phones have always been super friendly when we had queries.

I'm with Vodafone, on the 5GB plan but I used to work there so that's why I'm with them (it was free at the time). They usually (or used to when I was there) do better deals than Telecom but I'd say check out some of the smaller ones too and what they're offering. Orcon and Slingshot are two others that might have some good deals. I noticed Vodafone are doing the free broadband till the end of the year thing again but I don't know what the terms are.

This website does a bit of a comparison between providers. http://broadband.t5.co.nz/

We just discovered that Woosh is nearly $20 cheaper per month than Vodafone for a home phone/broadband package with 1GB! So we are now changing over!

We just changed from xtra to woosh - 5GB plan, plus we have a national calling ad-on $10 for unlimited, and landline to mobile is only 45c min ;) $79 a month - can't complain!

With Telecom and I find them really good. Our bill is $150 a month for phone line, 3K broadband (which we go over by a bit every month the day before we get the new allowance), $25 talk down under plan (NZ and OZ landlines), and my cell phone which is around $30 a month.

I def don't complain with the deal I have.

On the Woosh website, do you know what the difference is between broadband + phone line and broadband + landline - I'm confused!
