Hi ladies!
How is everyone? Just thought I would pop in for a little bit.
I had my staples taken out yesterday. FORTY-FIVE of them!! And YEOWWWWWW!!!!! It hurt!
Thankfully it only took about 5-10minutes & my wound is looking really good apparently. I haven't had a look at it yet but I trust that the midwives know what they are talking about
Blaire is a week old already. I pulled out some baby photos of Alex & they could just about be twins, they look very very similar.
The breastfeeding is going so well & Blaire is starting to sleep a little longer at night, I got a whole 4 &1/2 hours before having to get up for an hour to feed & change him then he was off to sleep again for another 3 & 1/2 hours so it was wonderful
I dunno about being supermum but I'm certainly alot more organised around the house. I 'm not overdoing it I reckon, its just so nice not to be heaving along a huge belly anymore I feel like I've got so much energy!
And its nice to have a clean house & be able to sit back. The only thing I haven't done is yesterday's folding but folding is one of my pet hates so I forgive myself

Well keep us updated! take it easy! dont forget to give us updated pics of both Alex and Blair!

Hmm yeah I'm not sure why I was so lucky to get staples of all things. I had dissolving stitches last time so I didn't have to get anything removed...but in saying that last time I very vividly remember how I had trouble getting up & around for the first couple of days because my wound hurt and I didn't have that problem this time at all so maybe the staples are stronger at holding everything together? I dunno....

Yeah I had staples as well but only 16 of them. I found it pretty painless when they removed them. When you do have a look at it though you will probably see little holes where the staples were, it looks quite funny.

Yeah the little hole marks go away though. I can still clearly see mine, it is raised and pink, but it is so low that it is way below my bikini line.

Oh Kate your lucky only getting 16 staples!
I reckon the registrar who did the staples was abit "staple-happy"! My midwife couldn't believe how many she put in. My midwife did say the only real reason they hurt so much was because they were so close together. I remember her saying "okay nearly done only 10 more to go" and I was think "oh f#ck". LOL sorry!
I think they said they were cutting along my previous scar so that may have been why it hurt so much too because she was pulling staples out of scar tissue but that is just a guess.
I've had an awesome day today. Everything has been going so smoothly with the two kids

My goodness, I still can't unclench my bits at the thought of that many staples - or them coming out!! You brave wonderful woman!
Excellent to hear that all is going well with the two boys - I've been beginning to get concerned about how to cope with two under two, so your words are inspirational.
Take care of yourself and here's hoping that everything continues to go really well.

Afternoon ladies
I'm having a lovely lazy day today. I managed to get all my housework done last night before I went to bed so I decided to spend today in my pjs. LOL!
Blaire is still sleeping well & feeding well. Alex has turned into the overprotective older brother which has been hilarious. He loves given Blaire big cuddles & kisses. Yesterday he was holding Blaire (with help from me) and when my friend Kara asked if she could have a hold he shook his head violently & shouted "NO!". Hehehe!
I think Vanessa is right. Compared to being bent over in pain with stitches, I would prefer staples that hurt coming out for about 5-10 minutes.
NOT THAT I'M DOING THIS AGAIN!!! LOL!
Two boys is good enough for me

Hi Ladies!
Well Blaire is 3 weeks old today! My midwife came to visit & he now weighs 4.72kg (10pound 6oz).
I've sadly had to fold away over half of his newborn clothes because they just don't fit him anymore & he has been in the small size nappies for the last week too since those newborn ones just won't fit over his bottom properly.
Alex has decided that he only wants to have one feed in the mornings now so its just Blaire that I'm feeding pretty much. Kind of sad but at least I haven't been feeling so much like a dairy cow!!!

Wow toni i'm abit slow didn't even know you had even had him, here's my late CONGRATUALTIONS.
Loving the name didn't know you could spell it with an e at the end but i guess you can spell a name however you want.
I had staples when i had Blair not sure of how many my midwife pulled out, but i also remember it being sore cause some of them my skin had grown over the top of them a little bit, not nice. With Ryan and Katelyn i had this stitch thing that you do under your skin and they leave a little bit at the end that my midwife cut off.
Hope everything is going well.

wow that time has just flown by. Good to hear he is doing well. Sad isnt it when you have to start putting away newborn clothes, doesnt take long for them to grow out of them.
