Anyone notice their stuff isnt up to scratch this Winter? Or have I just got a bad batch?
All of Janaya's new cardi's have lost at least one button. Her shoes have lost their bows and today Jackson's $30 jeans have a rip in the knee from him falling over at the park.
The one place I thought I could rely on for quality stuff?!

We had one pair of boots which lost the front of the sole within a couple of days, but they replaced them and we haven't had any other probs.

I agree the quality of pp has gone down hill big time, they still charge but you certainly dont get the length of time out of the clothes. I have actually started getting more things at JK's it seems good and to be honest not as common as pp.

Yup we are losing buttons and even having a few seams come undone lately on quite new items. Pretty disappointing to be honest

Yip lost buttons and undone seams here too. I don't even buy very much PP but everything I do buy seems to fall apart. I know they will replace it but I don't really have the time to take it in.

Funny that you say that about JK as I've had far more quality issues with them lately than Patch - lil miss had a skirt that was red and white and the red bled into the white as soon as I washed it, a dome came off her (very expensive!) merino cardy and another t-shirt we bought had the dome missing when we bought it but I didn't realise.
They are very good at exchanging/refunding tho!

I have only once bought stuff from PP but have been given a few things...
A few bibs - the domes fell off within the first few washes
Pants - they had a 50% off so bought some cool boys check pants - the buttonhole ending up ripping after a lot of wear but it's not like they were tight so thought that was a bit odd. Also had some cord-like pants that were great (again 50% off) but with a crawler, all the cord rubbed off and they just looked BAD! So they became DC pants.
Actually, come to think of it, we were given a PP jersey that ended up pulling (knitted cotton) by the shoulders after a few wears. So all in all, we've had pretty bad experiences with PP stuff.
I personally don't see the value in it all. I find Teeny Weeny stuff from farmers and even Warehouse stuff of better quality most of the time, and a better fit for a cloth bum in boys.

Yep I've found it. MIL buys daniel PP stuff and a pair of shoes had part of the sole come undone/unstuck on day 2. The pants have seems coming undone. Yet his warehouse and tnt stuff hasn't got anything wrong with it despite him being outside all the time and putting the clothes through hell lol

Yeah I've noticed the quality going down hill. That and the clothes seem to be getting tackier. They pick the most awful colours and patterns for kids. Most of their stuff is too grown up looking. I hate how they have to have 50 things going on one piece of clothing. Like lets put a Fairy & a Mushroom & Ladybug & a pony all on the most hideous version of purple you've ever seen lol.
I love Cotton on kids but it's pretty pricey.

I am with Emma, having issues with JK quality. Holes along the seams of things only worn/washed a couple of times.
I dont tend to buy PP cos its too expensive, in fact of the things we have I have only purchased some socks and DH bought his coming home outfit. All of its ok... I guess though I am buying bubs stuff not toddler so not getting the same wear and tear?

Ever since they started making their clothes in CHINA, the quality is CRAP and yet the prices are still sky high, and the the sizing is DEFINITELY smaller!! I've had undone stitching, loose buttons, and soles off the shoes. Yes they do replace/refund, but the hassle to do that everytime is very frustrating!!!

we bought a heap of PP ahead of time for her when it was at the HUB etc - have to say we lost heaps of domes and buttons and some stuff shrunk! glad we didnt buy at full price! annoying as PP is more a special weekend or function outfit.
JK (which we had heaps of after the catalogue shoot) was awesome - she wore and wore the tops which washed very well. Havent lost buttons or domes off JK stuff at all. I tend to get casual stuff from there tho for daycare as it is hardwearing but looks good.
I LOVE cotton on stuff - and most washes up well. I have had two tops for her from there that bled - one was from factory shop tho. The recent stretch cotton tops from them would be the best quality of anything I have seen in NZ! havent had issues of anything falling apart from them either.
we luckily have loads of american stuff - fisher price / nick jr clothes and they are so superior to anything in nz - except maybe the latest cotton on tops we got!

I have found PP really good and have had one fault where they sent off to get fixed after the same thing happening again they gave me my money back. My kids wardrobe are 95% PP.

Yes, I agree with the quality going downhill. Most often, the buttons that control the waist size seem to come off, which is SO annoying (esp when you have a skinny wee bub like mine!). But, I have had the same problem with JK.
Years ago my mum used to buy all my sister's stuff from T&T and I remember it being rubbish.... but now I myself find it really good quality and very cheap when sales are on. And you can pick it up for next to nothing on TradeMe, and they do good quantities of 'middle' sizing - 6-9months. The 6-12 months clothes from PP are all still HUGE on Jackson.
I also struggle with Farmers Clothing. I bought a onesie the other day, and four of the five domes came off in the first wash. Unfortunately I had not kept the receipt. What a waste of money.

I just noticed the domes on James' stretch in grow are coming off and he's only worn it half a dozen times. Next time I go to Queenstown I will have to return it...but it was a gift....anyone had them replace in that situation?

We have lost a dome off the crutch of a one piece and had some seam issues also.
Not loving the colours for the boys selection this winter either

I hardly ever shop at T&T as I have found they make their girls top super skinny and short in length not good when your kids have a long torso.
When my DD was born 4 weeks prem I got a couple of their sleepsuits and one of the suits two of the domes fell off refused to buy any of their clothes with domes on them. The only thing I buy from there is sleepwear/undies/socks.

It's interesting how we've all had different experiences from the same shops .
I don't buy a lot from PP but what I have bought has always been of good quality, hasn't shrunk etc. I got sick of buying bodysuits from Postie that just shrunk very quickly. I only ever buy things on sale though...
I find Cotton On Kids so expensive. I bought a top from there once which, when washed, stretched to b.ggery . Their stores seem to be too small & completely crammed full of clothes that I don't find shopping there particularly enjoyable.
JK seems good but there's not one particularly close to home so I don't go there a lot.
I bought a top from T & T once that wouldn't even fit over Liam's head . Their sizing seems a little random to me.
Just my 2c

We only buy on sale too, DD's wardrobe is 50% PP & 50% Cotton On. Cotton On often have sales where things are half price or less, which is worth checking out..
Ooh, I'm quite selective of the fabrics of items that I buy, I don't buy anything ribbed as it tends to lose shape in the wash. Also with Cotton On, sometimes when I pull the sticker off it leaves a sticky mark :(

We got some cool hoodies for the gremlins on sale at Cotton On Kids, they look really cool and were 2 for $20 on sale - gotta love 2 for sales when you have twins
Their sizing is random tho, the girls are in size 4 just t get them over their fat heads lol.
Lil miss has a random assortment of clothing, my absolute fave is definitely Nature Baby - I sooooo wish they did a bigger kids range coz their baby stuff is really cool and awesome quality.

Emma - I think they are starting to, with their 'Kid Nature' range. Pretty pricey though ($45 a T-shirt?), but I suppose if you can get the wear of it.
I also love Cotton On Kids - although I do agree about the shopping experience being a bit like browsing in an op shop.
The shopping experience is very important when you're accompanied by a very impatient baby in a stroller! Hence why I tend to buy online - but found PP pretty useless the one time I ordered online from them (and swore never to do so again).
I've only bought maybe half a dozen items from PP - I found they washed and wore really well, but then they were in the smaller sizes so I didn't really put them to the test.

I buy most of the girls clothes from PP and have only had a couple of "issues" with buttons - no big deal as easy to fix.
In saying that, I have had problems with their shoes (from when Gina was a baby) and never ever buy those any more.
