We are always quick to bag a company for poor service so I thought it was time to congratulate one for excellent service

We are currently with ANZ but I have been getting frustrated with their internet banking so rang up ASB as I have personal accounts there. Well, I talked to a human....in NZ.....who transferred me to Queenstown and I didnt have to explain myself again to that person....who then said I could probably do it all over the phone. They even had all of DHs details right there (ok...that is freaky as he hasnt had an account with them since school days and they had us linked)

Today they rang me up to confirm that they can do it all over the phone to save me coming over and it was just so simple!!!!

so go ASB!!!! Now if only we could change our mortgage over...they are happy to look at that too.

Wow, I have always heard great things about ASB, if I were to change banks I think I would go to them.

Dh is with ASB and has been for ages.
We'd change to them for our mortgage currently its with Westpac and they're pretty hopeless, but we get good discounts as DH gets the govt employee disc
I had my very first bank account with ASB

ASB have been great with us. Our account manager is fantastic and we have never had any problems. I used to be with Westpac and didn't get the same level of service.

Yep we get really good service with ASB. We did change our mortgage over to Kiwibank at the start of the year, but only because it was cheaper.

I had an account with ANZ as a child, but Dh was with ASB, so I changed over when we got married.  They do have SUPER customer service, can't fault them for that!  They are really good to deal with.  However, if we ever get a mortgage again, I think we'd go with kiwibank just because they do seem cheaper.

I have had my ASB account since I was 5 years old, and have never had anything but excellent service from them (also worked there for a while back in the 90's) hehe..Their internet banking is also the best!

We love ASB too....they have been fantastic over many years of banking with them. When we were living in the UK, they were awesome too, whenever we called the NZ call centre to sort stuff out they would go well and truly above and beyond to help!!

We too are with ASB and they rock! Our account manager rings every 2nd month just to check everything is tracking nicely and she rings me every year on my birthday!! Hows that for personal service!

If I need anything done with our accounts or mortgages I just drop her an email and she reacts immediately.

I cannot fault her or ASB on anything at all!

Our business accounts are with BNZ, one word.....hopeless!!

We just took 1.1 million dollars of business away from ASB as after being customers for 12 + years they provided us with the worst customer service I have ever encountered, bordering on corupt actually... we were treated worse than when I was a first time home buyer with next to no equity. Funny how you work hard to build up your equity over many years and nurture your relationship with your bank, but in the end its worth nothing, they are keener to get new customers than to look after current ones. Still, we did have some good times... lol!

ASB to used to be really good but they now don't look after their customers  so we have now moved some of our accounts to kiwibank.

Have you seen this in the news today about Westpac? Good on him for asking for his money in $20 notes

I am with ASB too and they are pretty good but there is one thing that bugs me about them.

Up at Albany Westfield all the banks have playpens except ASB. Westpac even has a glass-walled playroom for tots.

When I complained to them about how hard it is to stand in line with a 2 year old 'bolter' they pointed out that they do have computers with games on them for kids. But IMHO if a kid is old enough to play a computer game, they are old enough to wait quietly. Grrr.
