This is possibly TMI thread. But what can I say, it's good to share.

My inkling that I was indeed a fertile myrtle was really bad constipation. It felt like I hadn't taken a dump in a week and thought to myself 'Jeeze that's weird.'

hehehe.. my key indicator, as was the time before, was extreme hunger and then the seediness kicked in.... and it was all downhill from there sickness wise :( Thank goodness it's gotten better now!

Sore boobs!   Especially the sides of them. Usually when AF is about to arrive they get a bit sore and sensitive, but never sore around the sides of them

Also, I like to get myself into the worst possible time to have a baby and then get pregnant.    My first was conceived a week before my partner and I had broken up, and I would have quite happily never ever laid eyes on that awful person for the rest of my life.

The second time (this time) was two weeks after I had met my current partner.

I come from an incredibly fertile family who get pregnant at the drop of a hat, so contraception is no guarantee for me!

I am super super happy about being pregnant though.    And my new partner is the BEST thing (other than Sam) that has ever happened to me.

Biggest indicator for me was lying awake most of the night feeling like I was going to hurl, the night before AF was due. Funny thing is, I went on to not have any morning sickness

Late AF for me - 6 weeks pg before I knew about it! Then got insanely itchy nipples - so embarrassing to try and scratch discretely! That was about 8 weeks though.

Sore boobs was the telltale sign for me, like when I get AF but far too soon for that (from 5DPO) and lasting more than 2 days as AF sore boobs do for me.
Not long after that came the occasional that turned into constant nausea thats still here at 10 weeks

I had the yucky taste in my mouth and I started craving a cup of tea (I never normally drink tea and the last pregnancy I had to have a cup of tea every morning before I got out of bed).

Super sensitive nose, nausea and wanting to go to bed at 8.30 at night somewhere between conception and four weeks!

Argh, I remember so clearly. My AF cycle was anywhere 28-34 Days and on day 34 I felt a massive wave of nausea and thought that was weird so I asked DH to bring home a pregnancy test and sure enough tested at 5am the next morning and it was positive.

My first pregnancy was different as I had been having really irregular and long cycles, and had done gazillions of tests but they were all negative. However my boobs had been feeling tender for a week or so and my sister brought me a pregnancy test cause I refused to do one because of all the negatives I had been getting and what do you know it was positive. I was only 4-5 weeks at that stage and I had not had my period for like 3 mths.

The biggest giveaway was DH bouncing around me every day going 'your period's late, your period's late, take a test, your pregnant, your period's late your period's late'. Well thank you calendar man.

AF was late, I couldn't drink bubbly, I nearly barfed my lunch all over my computer and I just felt different, like very very calm and happy.

I had no idea.. it was the only month I hadn't had any sypmtoms that could make me think I WAS! The only reason I even tested that month was my temperature went up when it should have gone down (I had been charting temps for over a year)

I was even cramping like AF was about to arrive right on schedule!

I just sort of knew before AF was due, when I told hubby he said that I was going to be so dissapointed if I was wrong, but I just knew...perhaps the bloatedness gave it away...

I knew before AF was due when DH and I went out for lunch and I just did not feel like my favourite, cold prawns!! lol And, the day before I did my preg test, we were having a quiet glass of wine at home - and I really just didn't feel like it! lol

Um probably the 8 positive pregnancy tests I did. But also I had a sense of just knowing cause I had been charting and it looked really good that month.

First physical sign I got was the enormous boobs I got. Woke up one morning and BAM! had boobs!

First sign I think was the constipation, it came around CD12, and we had jsut started our marathon BD'ing session.
CD16 the sore nipples started, and then a new symptom every day after that. Tested positive on CD25 (had just come off the depo so don't know how long my cycles should have been).

Date Posted: 24 July 2009 at 2:19pm
Although my 6w scan says we conceived CD14, but the 12w scan said we were 4 days ahead, so not sure what was happening, but the constipation was definetly weird.

Blue cheese tasted yuck and I thought "that's weird", then remembered my sister's only symptom was altered taste. Then my workmate hassled me for eating lots saying "are you sure you're not pregnant" which made me think "hmmmm". Then the boobs were saw and I finally tested!

I got the implantation bleeding so just thought af had arrived but it stopped the same afternoon so that really got me thinking. Plus got car sick coming back to Chch from the westcoast which is not normal for me.
Did a test a couple of days before af was due and came out positive.

I am similar to em26, but I used Volataren one night for something and then felt really bad so stopped using it till I bought a HPT just in case I was UTD - which brought up a really really faint line!! My boobs then doubled in size the following week so am sure that would have been the first sign had I waited that long.

Oh so many things, but probably the biggest indicator was that my bb's grew by 2 cup sizes in the space of a week - combined with lots of blue veins on my bb's and my belly. Also had mad hunger, increased loo visits, gassy like I couldn't believe, and wasn't sleeping very well either.

For me the very first sign was (TMI Warning) The runs, and alot of gas for a whole day, 4 days before af was due. The day after i was starving when i woke up, and wanted breakfast, which i have always skipped. 2 hours later i was starving again and so on.... lasted for a week, but the day after AF was due i went in for a blood test because i got a faint positive one day then a negative the next.

we also were not even trying this cycle, and were actually not even supposed to be doing the 'wild thing'.... ooops!

after the mad hunger spell, i got the sore boobs and the morning sickness that lasted all day. Smell is heightened, and my gag reflex is over the top!

The being really sleepy has kicked in in the last 4 days i guess.... no more late nights for me, and coffee doesn't help!

I was in bed for a week with a really bad cold and then started craving macaroni cheese. I made my MIL (staying for a week) get the ingredients and make it for me, I had such a massive bowl of it. But I didn't know for sure till I did the test about 5 days later. (I carried on craving mac & cheese till about week 6 and haven't eaten it since )

My first indication was sore boobs. Which made me think...hmm....maybe...

As I never get sore boobs when I am approaching my period. Also, I seemed to have thrush, which I also don't get before my period, which I read can be a sign of early pregnancy due to the hormonal changes of pregnancy. And, this is a weird one, things smell different when you are pregnant, like down there, I remember the scent from when I was pregnant with my daughter.

And one thing I found strange was my overwhelming desire to eat red liquorice, not any type, only the ones from the dairy, I think they are Wonka and not the 2 pack ones either that you get from the supermarket, only the dairy ones. Like no kidding, I would often buy 5-10 pieces of red liquorice. To discover a few weeks later exactly why

When I felt sick at the sight or thought of Best Foods Mayonaise I knew something was up. I love Best Foods Mayo!! Also developed a SUPER sense of smell and could not be in the room when someone cooked meat, especially bacon.

This time I have the same sense of smell thing but have had an overwhelming craving for olives and olive tapenade on bread!

ha! I didn't until I took a pregnancy test (completely convinced that it was just to 'rule it out' cos there was no way I was up the duff). then I figured the test was from a faulty batch.

Until I saw the ultrasound scan, complete with beating heart, accompanied by a sonographer who was very definite that I was pregnant, until then, I thought I had polyps or ovarian cysts or something malfunctioning.

nausea - thought was the result of an intensive week at college with art materials
tiredness - combination of it being end of term, working part-time, and joining a gym
weeing in the night - extra water intake from working out at the gym
hunger - combination of working out and being a foodaholic anyway
sore boobs - probably side effect of taking progesterone pills prescribed to restart my cycle as had spotted for first 6 weeks of conception

in real life, I'm generally pretty clued up on health things, and thought I was tuned in to my bod. This one blindsided me!
