Kayla has this little area between her wrist and her hand which she likes to suck (much like some kids suck their thumbs)..She has a constant hickey there too!

Anyway, just the other day I noticed a little pimple in the area next to the main area where she sucks, which seems to correspond to where her top teeth would be when she is sucking. It has been a couple of days now and tonight I think it is looking a little bit infected with a tiny bit of pus.. the spot is only about 5mm diameter and feels tough/hard in that spot.

Problem is, I can't seem to stop her sucking that area..so have been reluctant to put anything on it or cover it up..I'm not even sure if I need to take her to the doc? What do you reckon?

does she suck in her sleep, if not maybe put some nappy rash stuff on - like sudocrem or bepanthen... might help.

LOL Thanks.. yeah she sucks it when she's tired and as she is falling asleep which is why I have been reluctant to put anything on it. Have to say it looks a tiny bit better today since I tried to keep her sleeves down over the spot last night, but she still got to it a little bit.. I think not being as wet has helped though.

maybe you'll have to distract her today and try and keep it dry then...   shove some food at her, that always works to distract my lot! lol!
