I've got a safe and sound convertible carseat which I love - my girl is still rear-facing in it, it has good straps, is easy to put in and take out of cars (my mum has an anchor point in her car too), it's not too heavy, it didn't cost the earth (buy on special!).

If youve got the $$ get a Brio

Also go take a look at childrestraints.co.nz they have loads of reviews of different seats.

Yeah I have a brio, Spencer was in it until he was 2 and now Kyle is in it. I don't think you can beat them for safety as they can be refacing until 25kg.

Check out www.babyonthemove.co.nz to see what one looks like. They are about $550, so pretty pricey but worth it if you ask me.

hi,

i would highly reccommend the maxi cosi tobi carseat. i bought my one from the dimples babywear boutique. it is so secure in the car that it does not move. after having a car hit me up the rear and send my car flying into a tree, my nearly two year old daughter got out of the car with nothing wrong with her.

I have the brio and although it was expensive it is so worth every cent. Rearward facing till 25kg (3to4years) is a fantastic thing. If we had a second baby before he was outgrown it I think I'd get another rather than turn him around.

our brio. Our daughter is still rear facing in hers (but she is only 10kg) and we were saving our pennies for another. No mean feat because as noted they are pricey. Luckily my mum is getting it for us now.

We are putting a Brio on lay-buy at ababy onthe move and we have 12 weeks to pay it off, so that is an option if you are wanting to get one
